The Scarecrow being back and helping Bane, with the pieces of straw sticking out of his suit, was a nice touch.

Still not sure why he was the one at the head of the court. Honestly its a shame heath ledger died because that part would of been perfect for the Joker, and it would of been a reference to one of the best episodes of BTAS

Also I caught the Red Hood and Croc references but can someone fill me in on the line Movie Bob mentioned taken directly from Kingdom Come?
Am I the only one who remembers that Scarecrow was in with the League of Shadows from the 1st film and was never actually shown being arrested (if he was, then the prisoners were set free anyways) So in D.K.R. when members of the L.o.S. takeover Gotham it's pretty reasonable for him to be the judge.

Captha: Hello,watson?

Nah he would have found something else for the joker cause the joker being the judge wouldnt make sense for that. If you ask me i dont think the joker would have gotten along with bane at all which is why i have the theory that the reason the joker isnt in this is cause bane killed the joker so he wouldnt cause trouble.

OT: the red hood ones a bit of a stretch but the killer croc ones an awesome, also about how jon blake sounds a lot like tim drake, it does, and also jons actual name being robin and how hes also an orphan like tim drake was.

Also, not really an Easter egg, but did anyone else notice that the dude who captures Bane at the very beginning without realising it was Littlefinger from Game of Thrones?

The Killer Croc reference was great too.
Really? So it really was straw? I remember thinking it was, but then I thought it was just his suit ripped or something.

Maybe it would have been too obvious for them to say 'killer crocodiles' but 'giant alligators' still feels like a half-easter egg and half-nudge towards the myth of alligators in sewers. IMO anyway.

Some of these "easter eggs" are really contrived.
When Gordon (I think?) talked about Harvey Dent Day being an annual public holiday, was the movie referencing Calendar Man?

The Croc reference seems pretty real and the Daggett one seems likely, but "Catwoman actually sorta has cat ears!" and Alfred using the word "chimp" in an offhand comment, are hardly meant to be quick, subtle references to obscure bits of comic continuity to make hardcore fans smile and feel special for getting it.
(I retract the latter example if anyone can provide evidence of Batman dating Detective Chimp.)

He was never accounted for at the end of Begins, and he was apprehended by Batman in one of the first scenes of TDK.
What became of him after that was never really explained (presumably taken to Arkham but we never actually see this), so it's not really hard to imagine that he could've fallen in with Bane's lot.

Tim drake was not an orphan. You're thinking of dick Grayson.

God, thematically that did annoy me, the entire time I'm wondering how Joker would of reacted to Bane's plan.

It was great seeing Crane again.

He is possibly the best guy for the role of Scarecrow, so glad they got him in BB.

OT: don't even know why i'm here, not even seen the film yet and im seeing it 2morrow, meh, don't really care much for spoilers xD

I'll come back 2morrow if i notice any xD

EDIT: How can they leave an ending like that, seriously!?!?!?!

The only Easter egg i noticed was the thing about Killer Croc, well the reference to him anyway, other than that, nothing.

I can't believe they left the trilogy like that! however it could easily open up into the Justice League, so maybe that is what they are planning.

When Batman is with Selina Kyle, and he looks away for a half second and she's gone.

"Huh, so that's what that feels like."

Replace Selina Kyle with Superman and it is the scene from Kingdom Come.

aug that entire first hour was just.... so bad.

Jim Gordon has to be the biggest idiot on the planet if it took him that long to realize bruce wayne was Batman, who else can afford all those glorious toys.

Also loved his helicopter thing sitting on top a building for months with a tarp over it and NO ONE found it.

And the secret entrances.... It just got so silly, by the time they got to bringing Ms. Tate down to the fusion reactor thing I was literally going "Why the fuck can't they just use a door???"

I wasn't saying he was dating Detective Chimp but he has worked with him before. [Edit: though a clear reference to someone he could date who wasn't in the movie would be if he said a woman made out of clay or an amazon princess via the shows Justice League and JL Unlimited.]

Also I was saying Scarecrow "could" be in the movie He helped Ra's Al Ghul in the first movie and so they both we're in the "League of Shadows" meaning as long as it was possible for Scarecrow to be free at the time he could help out Bane and Talia two other Members of the L.o.S. alot of other people have been saying it would of been better to have had Joker wielding the gavel even though he wouldn't likely want/like to work for/with Batman.

I surprised no one has mentioned this, but
In the animated series, Roland Daggett runs a rival corporation called Daggett Industries. In the movie, there's a character named John Daggett running a rival company and using Bane to take Wayne Enterprises down.
I think no one mentioned it because (aside from it being fairly early in the thread) it's not so much an easter egg as a major plot point.

the catwoman scene with the kid with the apple is reminiscent of a scene with penguin from no mans land, "the penguin always takes his bite"

When all the cops are in the street about to fight Bane's police force, next to the one in his dress uniform, is man who looks exactly like Hugh Laurie. Aside from all the others that have been caught, I got nothing

I'm sorry, but you honestly think Joker would have stayed locked up for 8 years?

On topic, i loved the Killer Croc reference

There was also a character named Daggett in the X-Files, who was played by Robert Patrick, who co-starred in Terminator 2 with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who once played Mr. Freeze

OMG.
Christopher Nolan has accomplished the impossible. A reference to a reference within a reference.

I think more than a reference to Calender man this refers to the Long Halloween plot line which features Harvey Dent turning into Two Face as well as him becoming the Holiday Killer. The Plot for the Long Halloween has some parallels to The Dark Knight as well so im thinking just a tip of the hat maybe ?

I didn't notice anything in particular in Rises, but I did notice something when I saw Dark Knight again. When that detective shows up to tell Gordon's wife he's dead he calls her Barbara. They make a point of establishing that their son is named James after his father, so it's not unreasonable to think that they named their daughter after her mother.

She may be a little young to help out, but Oracle still technically made it into the movie.

2 of the 3000 coppers conversing, pig 1 "u think the bats coming back?" pig 2 "yes" p1 "y" p2 "flipped a coin"... nice touch on the red hood, i was thinkin it'd take a lot of work for bane to make a helmet to fit his mask, so yeah i dont think its a stretch if such a dull colored character would do such a thing

like blake said, no such thing as coincidence
