Just seen it, it was incredible, what a final role for Ledger. Phenomenal performance, genuinely disturbing and kind of how I always saw the Joker. Little hint dropped by Fox suggests Catwoman might make an appearance in the next one, which could be interesting. I know there were rumours that Philip Seymour Hoffman might play the Penguin at some point, no idea if there is any meat to that. Riddler shouldn't be next, would be too much like they are remaking the previous series, and their are better, less campy villians to utilize. problem is, some of them are a tad on the unbelievable side. Liked Scarecrow's little cameo too.

Next Villians, Killer Croc, Clayface, Ivy, Bane (they could get it right this time), Penguin, Ventriliquist/scar face, Catwoman, hell, even Ra's could come back.

either way, i wouldnt worry too much about the Joker not appearing anymore.

Right, well some people tried to answer my question... The first two tries didnt really make any sense to me, as you assumed I was asking why
his face was burned. I was asking why it was so quick to melt.

It still doesnt add up, but then again a man fighting crime in a bat suit doesnt either.

Ok, Clayface, Ivy and possibly Killer Croc wouldn't work so well with the gritty realism of the films. Ventriloquist is a lame villain sadly. Bane *miiight* work, if they make the Venom a little less OTT.

For the next film they should use a villain who isn't so gag oriented, unless its the Riddler with OCD. I'd like to see either Black Mask, Great White Shark, Hugo Strange (not as the main antagonist but hindering Batman on the side).
The best choice would be Hangman though as Harvey Dent is already dead, it would make sense for Hangman to target Gotham PD.

The Penguin is just a genius gangster with one too many blows from the Fugly Stick.

Heath deserves the posthumous oscar for his role as the Joker, he made the movie for me, he made the character beleivable

Definitely agreeing with the previous post.

I was very amused by the "magic trick."

And...his reason why he prefers knives over guns.

I refuse to watch it in anything but iMAX, as such, I've got to wait until August 2nd.
Very, very tempted to see it at a normal cinema first though.
I can see refusing to watch Batman Begins in anything but IMAX because some of the scenes were shot using IMAX cameras (first time, ever.)

But are you saying you refuse to watch movies in anything but the IMAX? Because that's really limiting yourself to some crappy movies, most of the time.

yeah i really liked it, Heath did a very good job as the joker

i do hope that they didn't kill off two face, they actually pulled him off better than the tommy lee jones with the flipping of the coin

i hope they continue with the movies but i've heard Christian Bale won't play Batman again

Though the movie was good, it seems everyones hyping it to hell, AGAIN. This is just like what happened to Grand Theft Auto 4, the movie had its flaws.

ledger pulls of the best joker ive ever seen

too bad i cant say that for the rest of the characters
Although I disapprove of your lack of punctuation and capitals, I do approve of your opinion.

I did enjoy Michael Cain as the butler, and (of course) Heath Ledger as the Joker. I really wouldn't be surprised if Ledger won Best Actor, even though he's dead.

I think many people will agree when I say that I hated Bruce Wayne. He just seemed like the kind of dickhead that I have to deal with at school, pardon my French.

Overall, though, Wall-E will have to impress for best movie of 2008 for me, as it is the movie that I am anticipating with great... anticipation.

Brilliant movie, but it would never been good if it weren't for good ol' Heath. He was so convincing, and he had you on the edge of your seat, never expecting what he would do next.

1st Point - Yes. Agreed.
2nd Point -
I think they did, him falling out of a building and all...
3rd Point - I would actually prefer it that way, myself. Hmm... George Clooney as Batman?

His face didn't melt, it just got third degreee burns. They also had to cut off the skin on his cheeks.
Spoiler Alert, man!

Ok i've seen it twice now and

two face definately breathes at least once visibly while he's laying on the ground, whether this is accidental, he was still dieing or he didnt die, remains to be seen. Since they were going to use the Joker in the third until Ledger's death, it could stand to reason that they'll keep 2 face alive, since their other carry-over isnt happening and since 2-face is the Joker's symbol of the corruptability of Gotham.

Or they could take another angle, new villains, new maddness, new brilliance.

Whatever they do, they've made one hell of a movie and they should be very proud of themselves.
