"Call me Zaheer. Where does one get the name Imperiosus? I wouldn't assume you were given that name."
Lucius snapped back around to the Mages, his attention broken from his telepathy. He didn't feel in the mood to give the mage a hard time for this insult to his name - a fight at this altitude could kill way too many potential allies.
"I can't imagine being called Zaheer, personally. I suppose you weren't to know I was named in the Glorious Empire of Rome, though, so I won't register it against you. If you'd prefer, my Praenomen - er, forename, nowadays - Is Lucius ", Lucius thought for a moment, "So I assume you ascended? Was attaining Lichdom just too challenging for you?"

Lucius will be spending the flight chatting to nearby passengers/telepathically messaging ones further away when that dries up. Aside from his ward warning of any danger to *him*, his attention is generally pretty directed on whoever he's talking to.
Also, I was under the impression that mages became Liches through their own means, creating a Phylactery and whatnot. At least Lucius' backstory has him attaining Lichdom on his own steam, rather than having any sort of master imposing it.
Liches *can* create and control undead though.

ok, now i'm just making too many spoilers. quick question though - when someone becomes a lesser undead (say, zombie, or skeleton), do they maintain their memories and things?
