John rubbed his head again. Why couldn't he just of been a dentist? Dentists don't have to deal with this @#&*.

"I am assuming your hunting habits were a sin in the eyes of nature happy Fae," John said, hoping that was it, "The beings with enough power to force their way pass the curse on you are few and far between. I doubt even those other mages on the plane could break it. Well, ok, maybe they could, but they would be liable to bring out Lovecraftian horrors from beyond the twilight realms if they tried."

John looked at Roland, and wondered what he really should do. Illegal immigration and illegal entry of an airline isn't their department, nor did he think the PIA had any connections who would willing to transform a bird human without some serious payment. However, he didn't want this bird causing more of a ruckus than he already did. It would be far easier to keep track of things when more people were asleep.

John got an idea, "Listen, I will 'arrest you,' so you will be sitting with me, but you will 'escape' once we land. It should be easy to justify, given your current condition. Then you go looking for somebody who will turn you back, but don't give your hopes up."

"...When people like us get in combat, the casualties tend to range on the ridiculous side and it's worth avoiding if at all possible."

Lucius smiled at the thought of 'ridiculous' casualties - he'd never been that fond of humans, even when he was one. Lucius turned back to Zaheer, and thought for a second, "Yes, well we would probably be best to avoid killing half of Britain", He paused, thinking to himself that this could actually supply him with an army, "you say long-range teleportation. sounds useful, if dangerous - I'd rather fly, frankly."

drmigit, Is 'old chokey' a reference to something? It sounds like something i've read.

How did you see or hear me? I am in the VERY back of the plane with the bathrooms and half of the food is stored. I am trying to keep my conversation with the bird very quiet.

As time went by on the flight, many a passenger began to drift off into sleep. The attendants delivered pillows and blankets to those that requested them and to those that remained awake the delivered coffee and snacks. After the Lich and Ascended had quieted and the "FBI" agent returned to his seat - bird in tow - an almost supernatural quiet overtook the plane, and even the attendants visits became fewer and fewer.

To those that remained awake, the plane seemed particularly dead. Save the occasional movements and sounds of people in their sleep and the rarer events as people went to the bathroom everything was still. From seats 12 through 14, the movements were similar, but somewhat more restless. During the night, several awoke to make use of the bathrooms.

The first was William Anester, awakening a bit before 5 A.M., who groggily moved toward the bathroom in a daze. At 5 A.M. almost to the dot, before even William Anester had returned, Dominic Rogue could be seen making his way toward the same bathroom, returning quickly thereafter to grab his gentleman's cane. Not a minute later William Anester returned to his seat, intent on returning to sleep. After a few minutes of rustling around, he stood up and ran back toward the bathroom, disappearing into the shadows of the plane's rear. Finally, after several more minutes, he returned, apparently ready to sleep again. He sat in his chair and drifted off without much delay. at 5:15 Dominic returned to his seat and to sleep. From then on, only a handful of others moved at all, mostly the occasional readjustment in sleep or to the bathroom. Most people missed this in their dreamland, and even those who stayed awake were only partially aware of the events.

It wasn't until 6:33 that another awoke; this time Katie Rogue. Having been asleep since before takeoff - only briefly awakened during the night to board the plane - she awoke well before anyone else aboard the plane. A few moments later, her screams pierced the ears of her fellow passengers, reverberated and amplified by the metal tube in which they resided. Though many awoke, it was a full minute before anyone realized why she was screaming.

In the seat in diagonal to the front of her, sat Vampire Lord Edward Crim of Sussex, his eyes cold even by his standards, blood dripping his mouth, a look of abstract horror twisted on his maw. None of these were her reason for screaming however. His hands were covered in copious amounts of now dried blood, as was the floor beneath it. Next to him, his wife lay motionless, a long gash covered in similarly dried blood on her throat. Though gruesome, this was also not her reason for screaming - she was a Dhampire; blood was nothing new.

Her reason for screaming was a wooden stake jammed through the chest of its victim; caked with dried blood. The stake had been pushed with enough force to pierce not only the victim's chest, but the seat behind it. From the sharpened hunk of wood, a thin line of blood ran down; falling from the tip to the floor and drying by the minute.

The stake itself had two important pieces of information to make note of. First was it's make. Even from a row away, once the item had been pointed out, it was clear the item had been expensive make. The bat like head of the stake marked that, until recently, the stake had been a fine gentleman's cane; the very same as Dominic Rogue's cane. Expectedly, Dominic's cane was missing; creating a worried look on its owner's face. The second item of note was perhaps more surprising; the location.

What had once been Dominic's cane was embedded in Lord Crim's chest, not his wife's, leaving the stake's victim as deceased as his wife.

Zaheer was the first to respond to the screams. He had been awake the whole time but missed the murder. He was staring out of the window and imagining new spells. He quickly teleported to the aisle in order to avoid Richard and Terra, his goal being to investigate first. He hovered above Annester and tried to track magic. It had been used earlier, but it was an ambient force, possibly just the golems and it had nothing to do with the stabbing directly. The stake was driven in with brute force, Zaheer remembered the golems the nervous man was trying to hide. They would be of sufficient strength to pull it off. Perhaps the man was nervous because he had to commit a murder?

Then, other possibilities came to mind, perhaps the Lamia had dug its claws in first, then stuck the cane in after, that was always a possibility. The passengers all over the plane were getting riled up and nervous, someone screamed murder. If things got out of control, the murderer would easily get away. Zaheer yelled in a commanding and authoritative voice.

"Everyone sit down! We have a murder on our hands and the more chaos in this plane, the more likely the culprit gets away with it. I want to go from person to person and investigate a few details before we start doing anything else. Someone with either great physical strength, or possibly claws managed to drive this very far. This is compounded by a blade or claw wound to the woman's neck. Everyone stay calm, there will be no more murders on this plane, that I promise."

Zaheer looked directly at Annester, his escort had been eyeing Crim the entire time, but Zaheer doubted it was Annester...unless he teleported the cane where it lies. Nobody was clear now, though Zaheer doubted Lucius, Richard or Terra committed the act, he would have noticed any of them moving around.

Lucia was jarred awake by Katie's scream. She hopped up and flipped around toward the screaming, she was surprised to find the reason for it, Edward had been run through, and upon closer inspection, his wife's throat cut open "What the fucking hell...." was all she could think to say

On hearing the scream, Lucius turned around to see the cause, spotting the vampire lord's fate, as he did. Lucius frowned a little, at this potential ally's fate, but dismissed it as something he would have ended up doing eventually anyways. As he pondered who would have done this, albeit half-heartedly, he heard Zaheer shouting, trying to take control. Lucius chuckled slightly, and decided to let the naive young mage do his thing. Lucius sat back down, and started pondering the best way to determine the culprit - he didn't want the authorities delaying him in London!

John looked away from the window, with Roland in a plastic "handcuff" (very loose one though, so Roland could "escape" when the time came.

John grabbed his FBI badge and pushed his way to the center row.

"Everyone sit down! We have a murder on our hands and the more chaos in this plane, the more likely the culprit gets away with it. I want to go from person to person and investigate a few details before we start doing anything else. Someone with either great physical strength, or possibly claws managed to drive this very far. A murder? Crap, his supervisor is going to kill him. "FBI!" John said, flashing his badge (labelled Joseph Welles), "Move away from the body," He said to Zaheer.

John saw the stake inside Lord Crim. His supervisor was going to kill him.

"Everyone remain calm. I am going to need the name and species of every person, supernatural or otherwise in this section," John grabbed a note pad, writing down all the details about the murder, noting the bat.

"Also, who's cane is this?"

Seras was wrapped around Theon in a loving embrace, a blanket draped across the pair of them. All was calm and peaceful, until suddenly an ear splitting scream awoke her. As Seras's eyes slowly came into focus, she could see that Katie was been held by Nicole, and that a trail of blood feel from the seat in front of Nicole, along with a sharp wooden looking implement piercing through it. Then a man who looked as though he had no eyes, except for two spots where they should be stood up. From the look of it, the man was a Mage, though something about it was familiar.

Murder? Who has been killed? Seras said to herself aloud as she peered over to the scene of the crime, and discovered that it was Edward and his wife. She could see that Edward had been impaled with a wooden cane straight through the heart, though the look of it was very familiar, and thats what had her scared. Suddenly John roared into action, showing a FBI badge through the cabin.

"FBI! Move away from the body!" John called out towards the Mage.

"Everyone remain calm. I am going to need the name and species of every person, supernatural or otherwise in this section." He then asked in a more calmer tone as John took out a notepad, and started taking down some details.

"Also, who's cane is this?" Dominic soon raised an arm.

"That would be my cane Agent Hardin." Dominic said as he stood up to look at the carnage in front. A look that may have been sadness crossed his face, if only for a moment. He then saw the expressions from everyone around him, least of all Seras, she looked both scared and ashamed.

"Dominic Rogue, Vampire."

Richard's analytical eyes merely watched the debacle, and his arm rubbed Terra's back Wake up, love, and watch yourself. The game is afoot and we're late to the party.

Richard used his left eye to scry the murder scene, using his polydimensional perspective to analyze any details he could.

The only magical patterns nearby were merely ambient, golems in fact. The Mage Of Panicking had a few of those. From this and obvious signs on the body, whatever did this had physical strength, and some sort of sharpness. It was that other Lord's cane... That's too easy. The man has lived through being and enemy of Crim, he can't be that sloppy.

Terra had been fast asleep, her head resting on Richard's shoulder, when the scream awoke the plane. She shot up with a rush of a adrenaline ready for almost anything. What she wasn't ready for was the scene of gruesome death before her. She stared at the scene with an almost morbid curiosity bordering on fascination. The scene itself was extremely disturbing for a multitude of reasons. Ignoring the obvious disturbing elements - the blood stained row and the showy way of killing - Terra was most disturbed that she hadn't noticed it. Even in sleep she was constantly touching the minds around her; appropriating the ability to feel emotion and keep herself... well, herself. While it hadn't been much of a surprise she had not noticed the deaths; reading the mind of a vampire was difficult without actively trying, but that she hadn't felt the rush of emotion that such a brutal killing would indicate was a fact that shook her deeply; she should have "felt" it.

A moment after these thoughts hit her, Richard was speaking to her. ...We'll have to work together on this one love. Don't we have the greatest dates? he said, leaving her confused. Sure she hadn't cared for what little of Lord Crim she had seen, but she hadn't wished death upon him; she didn't wish that on anyone. Even Lord Crim had been alive... er undead rather. "This isn't all that "great" if you ask me," she thought through the link, her tone unwavering and lacking in emotion.

Realizing that the "FBI" agent had asked a question, she raised her voice and answered quickly; she was glad to have an agent aboard. It occurred to her, however briefly, that his fear of her mind-reading was likely related to his originally panicked state, but dismissed the thoughts; they were no longer relevant. "Uh... Terra Price; I'm a Succubus." she answered, still more then a little shell shocked by it all.

Lucia's attention was still on the murdered pair, a few things weren't adding up, like how was she not covered in blood, she should be given she was sitting in front of Crim's wife, and how did who ever did this, manage to do it with no one noticing, even if it was a surprise attack, the wife should have made some kind of noise in protest.

"I am going to need the name and species of every person, supernatural or otherwise in this section"

"And that matters why, human?" Lucia said while still trying to work the logistics of what happened in her head, though sympathy was totally absent from her, after all, they where just two dead parasites to her, not to mention she was irritated from being woken up like she was, and there was some human trying to give her orders, that rarely sat well with her, regardless of the reason

"That would be my cane Agent Hardin."

"Dominic Rogue, Vampire."

"How the hell did he know?" John thought.

"The name is Joseph Welles, sir. I hope you have a very good alibi, since you admit your cane is the murder weapon and you were sitting right behind the victim," John said while writing the information he already had knew.

John actually doubted Rogue did it, to kill a vampire with so many witnesses, including telepathic witnesses, is just to blatantly stupid for a vampire Lord. Of course, it could of been a double cover, an intentionally done badly so that

"Terra Price; I'm a Succubus."

"She isn't an ascended mage? Does that mean the other two can't read my mind?" John wondered, writing that fact down. He hadn't noticed her or anyone in the row infront of him getting up in awhile,

"And that matters why, human?"

John had to use all his self control to keep his composer and not start peeing his pants.

"Because, since somebody was just MURDERED, I need to know what each of you are (as per the Gorn V. Colorado) and what you can do for my investigation. I would have this plane grounded and everybody on board jailed if we were not over the Atlantic," John said, standing up as high as he can and glaring at the Gold Dragon, while in his mind he was trembling in fear and wanted to just cry in a safe corner with his teddy, "Whatever YOU are, I doubt you could fight off the tanks and AA guns that are going to be pointed at all of us when we land."

"Speaking of which," John said, turning to a shocked steward, "Please tell the captain what has happened, tell him to communicate that to the tower in London, and get all the crew to make sure all the passengers stay in their seats.

He then remembered something. Crim gave up his seats in First Class. Did he know about this?

"Because, since somebody was just MURDERED, I need to know what each of you are (as per the Gorn V. Colorado) and what you can do for my investigation. I would have this plane grounded and everybody on board jailed if we were not over the Atlantic," he said, siting some case she'd never heard of or cared about, to which she just rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, drumming her fingers on her bicep as if to say 'you done yet?' "you do know I'm from Jade right? So quoting your Earth law books is rather pointless"

"Whatever YOU are, I doubt you could fight off the tanks and AA guns that are going to be pointed at all of us when we land."

Lucia raised an eye brow to this "Really .... you don't even know what I am and you assume your tin cans could stop me? I would comment on the bold faced arrogance of that, but I don't think I should have to, but if it'll get you to get to do your job, and leave me alone." Rather annoyed by the implications that a few measly tanks could bring her down.

"Lucia Miranda Draken, and I am a Platinum Dragon" It was just a pair of dead vampire after all, she didn't see the need to fuss over it.

"Lucia Miranda Draken, and I am a Platinum Dragon"

John looked up from his notepad, dread in his eyes.

"SHE'S A @#%&ING PLATINUM DRAGON?" John mentally screamed as he continued to stare at Lucia, "Oh God, oh @#^*, oh (%$[, I THOUGHT THEY ALL LEFT!?!"

John was petrified, frozen there, very glad he wore very dark pants today, staring down possibly the most powerful and dangerous creature he has ever faced.

And it was annoyed with him.

"OH @#^* ME," John thought.

Roland was just about to doze off when a scream pulled him from his sleep. He was rattled completely awake when John jumped to his feet and, brandishing his badge, tried to get the situation under control. The woodpecker sat quietly on his shoulder (the "handcuff" didn't let him go anywhere) as the crime scene was investigated and people questioned. Roland wasn't all the well versed when it came to the supernatural so finding out who was what turned out to be quite interesting for him.

John had fallen silent after the blue haired woman had introduced herself as a platinum dragon. "Are you alright?" Roland asked him quietly.

Lucius looked around with dismay at the ensuing chaos. Was air travel always this unbearably irritating. The temptation to find a way out was building, but he realised that was likely to paint him as the culprit. At the alledged FBI agent's plea, Lucius stood up, and floated up to the agent, handshake extended, "Lucius Cassius Imperiosus, son of Servius, Praetor of the Holy Roman Senate. Lich. You may address me as Imperiosus, human, and I would thank you to be rather more courteous - people might comply more", Lucius paused, and then turned away, going to 'stand' (read: float) in a corner, and began his own investigation.

Making sure that he could see the majority of the suspects, Lucius sent a telepathic message to everyone around, "My powers as a Lich allow me to look back in time, and see events as they happened. I saw you killing the Vampire lord - what do you have to say?"

Lucius' assumption is that everyone independently gets that message in their head, and the culprit will visibly shit themselves. of course, he *can't* look back in time, but they might not realise that...

"The name is Joseph Welles, sir. I hope you have a very good alibi, since you admit your cane is the murder weapon and you were sitting right behind the victim." John said whilst he continued writing notes down. Dominic's powers over telepathy was already searching his mind for answers.

"If you must know John, at around 5 AM, I went to the bathroom, passing Mister Anester over there." Dominic started off with in a calm manner, gesturing towards the Ascended Mage. He maintained his demeanour throughout the rest of his alibi.

"It was around 5:15 AM when I finally returned to my seat, where I have been sleeping ever since; didn't even notice that my cane was missing until my youngest daughter here screamed. Whilst I may have disliked Lord Crim, I wouldn't of gone actively out of my way to kill him or his wife." After he was done talking, Nicole decided to speak, offering the man her name and race along with Katie's.

"Nicole Rogue, Human. This here is myself and Dominic's youngest daughter Katarina Rogue, Dhampir. Though if you want to talk to her, I'd advise calling her Katie."

As the questioning carried on, Seras decided to hold onto Theon, knowing that she felt safe around him. Seras then looked into Theon's eyes with a look that hoped he was innocent in all this.

"Please tell me you didn't have anything to do with this." She then turned her head towards the agent.

"Seras Rogue, Dhampir."
