It's a DEMO. Do they want to sell the damn game or not? Idiots.
Gamestop is completely sold out of the Balls of Steel Edition, so I'd say that they're selling the game just fine. Not that I agree with not even giving a date for the public release of the demo, but you know.
It's still a bizarre decision on principle. I mean the purpose of a demo is to promote and sell the game, not restrict it to people who are already going to buy it.

Why limit it? I don't get it.
Why would you need a demo if you already bought it?

Isn't the entire point of a demo to try before you buy?

Now-a-days the point of a demo is to force people to preorder special editions of games, at a very early time period. Usually before anything about the game is really known. In your case you waited too long and preordered the wrong game to boot. I believe it came with the ultimate edition of borderlands (w.e its called).

I see. There was no lag, technical hiccups, graphical cock-ups or anything like that. The demo was just bad. Don't know what made you think it was an issue with the console.
MiracleOfSound and some others claimed that the game had some technical issues, and since he has yet to clarify what version he was playing all I've had to go on was his profile page which features an Xbox account. So I'm trying to figure out if his problem is on consoles since I had no technical issues at all on PC.
Like I said, the demo works fine, it's just bad. Hopefully by next week I'll be able to decide whether I want to keep it or return it.

So I know if I should cancel my pre-order. Just like the title of the other thread on the page says he did after playing the demo.

Waited too long? Huh?

The point of a demo is to sell the game to as many people as possible. That's the only point of anything publishers do.

And I'm hardly going to buy the Ultimate edition of a game I already own and have all the DLCs for.
