He is talking about the new unlockable weapons for the Engineer on TF2, recently released with the new Engineer update. Specifically, The Gunslinger which is a robotic hand to replace his gloved hand, allows one to drop cheaper mini-sentries which cannot be upgraded or repaired instead of normal sentries and has a triple "crit punch" mechanic.NeedAUserName said:Would you care to enlighten me (and any others) as to what you are talking about?
Why would he get +25 health from sawing his arm off and replacing it with metal?Bek359 said:why would Engie get a +25 health bonus just from taking the glove off?
I think they're meant to be used with the Wrangler, which gives them a health buff and increased rate of fire, which kind of cancels out the debuffs.D4zZ said:Why would he get +25 health from sawing his arm off and replacing it with metal?Bek359 said:why would Engie get a +25 health bonus just from taking the glove off?
Actually, I've seen Robocop, fair point.
I can't stand to use the new sentries, they seem terrible. it's fine for the enemy to use them though.
But the only battle engie I know of seems happy with them, so suppose everyone is happy. Yay!
Huh, guess I missed that. Oh well, answer solved. Creepy, yet awesome.Sir Kemper said:The official blog hints that he sawed it off.

This is precisely what I thought when I read the blog post. Not to mention you can do this repeatedly in a match. It almost counts as Nightmare Fuel...Dr_Pie said:Huh, guess I missed that. Oh well, answer solved. Creepy, yet awesome.Sir Kemper said:The official blog hints that he sawed it off.

Now that leaves another question. If you switch to the wrench...does he reattach his hand? I doubt the Medic is that good.
High Octane Nightmare Fuel I'd say. I doubt Valve didn't realise when making it that people wouldn't think about it a tad too much. They knew. They wanted to scare us.Heart of Darkness said:This is precisely what I thought when I read the blog post. Not to mention you can do this repeatedly in a match. the blog implies he sawed it of. its pretty badass he cut of his right hand to use itDr_Pie said:It scares me. It keeps me up at night. Has he had it under the glove the whole time, or did he lose his hand when designing his new weapons?
It's also pretty badass though. I mean, a freaking robot hand under the glove the whole time!
