"Backwards, I think." She smiled at the word 'ma'am.' "Aw, you're so polite. Just call me Yoko."

"I think we've traveled back in time." (Jedi Master) Huey said. "It was the years 2010 before I used the ship to jump to what's known as 'Hyperspace'. This is interesting...."

"I can guess that you, Yoko, are from the east, Japan? John, you are American. But you two? Where on Earth are you from?"

"Yes, I can see this will take some getting used to. Mr Marston, you don't happen to have a light do you? Mine fell out of my pocket in the crash and I'm practically gasping.

John pulled a matchbook from his satchel and tossed it to Harper. "Ain't much of a smoker myself, but I keep some matches on handy for fires."

"Thanks. Well, we were supposed to be extracting two snipers from Pripyat, then a hostile fired a Stinger. It hit the rear but before we hit the ground there was a massive flash of light and the next thing I know, John here is calling into the Chinook to me. What about you guys?"

world_of_dragons, do I have to say (Jedi Master) before Huey whenever I mention you?

John shrugged. "I was just looking for some adventure."

"Same here," Yoko said. "Wait, are you a sniper too?" She held up her massive rifle. "Awesome!"

"Kinda, I've been trained and am pretty good at it but there's only one on the Extraction detail and I'll have to check if its serviceable"

Harper shrugged.

"Well, sorry to have to cut and run from the conversation; but I've got to prepare: check the wreackage and get ammo off the bodies." *shudders* "It's what they would've wanted me to do. Then I've got to check my kit and do as much for my men as I can. I can't talk much whilst I'm doing it, okay? But I'll do it on the move if you guys up camp, and I'll tell you when I'm finished."

OOC: This is me saying that I'm gonna watch a program and go to bed. Will post a suitable post when I'm back in the action.

You can just call him Huey, it's just something I do since he's not originally a Jedi Master, think of him as my version of Huey Freeman

"Well at least like this I'll be able to make my journey in relative peace. But I don't know if I can trust these people, especially if they find out about the Darksaber. I suppose I'll bid my time here for now and get the ship running again." (Jedi Master) Huey thought

Meanwhile

"Mr. Wuncler, Sir, the Masako units have returned. They say the boy's ship has disappeared." Uncle Rukus reported.

"Hmph..." Was all Wuncler said.

"What shall we do, Sir? That little ni**a's gotten away with those devices you wanted."

"I want the area his ship was last seen in investigated. Find out how he did that and then we'll get him."

And so, (Jedi Master) Huey began to reach out into the minds of those present, first taping into their surface thoughts, emotions and urges. In John he finds a southerner from the post civil war error and immediately finds some alarm in that

If you're going to respond to (Jedi Master) Huey's mind scanning, just put down what you think he'll find in there and I'll respond accordingly

Okay, remember when you said no all-powerful characters? I'm not saying Huey is, but I think it's a bit more than unfair to scan our characters' minds like that. I'll go with it, but just try to ease up in the future, mmkay?

Inside John's mind, Huey found the soul of a man looking for forgiveness. Although he had a tough exterior, on the inside, he was a nice person who just wanted to get back to his family. However, he had dark secrets. He was an ex-bandit, and had killed more people than he could remember. Through inaction, he had also allowed several women to come to harm. But overall, he was a good person.

Since when can Jedi read minds?

"Ah, so it is like a gyrocopter, interesting. So, where are we exactly? This looks nothing like where I came from. Also, I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk to me like I'm some brat." Hensworth stares at the MP5 with interest.

Edit: So I just read back on the conversation I missed out on:

"Time Travel? I don't know about that but I certainly know I'm not in Waywald anymore. What is this place? I was working on a machine in my workshop when the next thing I knew i was 150ft in the air." At the mention of damaged machines he brightened up a bit. "If there's any problems with your... vessels I may be of some assistance, I'm a skilled engineer if I say so myself."

Henworth was a man who can come a long way, longer than the others. He was from a different place of steam and clockwork. He was lost in a place he did not understand or was fully aware of.

Yoko heard Hensworth and looked at him. "Do you think you could build something? Back where I'm from, there are giant robots called Ganmen. People pilot them for combat. From what you've said, I bet you could build one."

John sighed. "Giant robots, huh? And what, they got giant drills and faces in the middle of their chests or something?"

Yoko nodded.

"Lucky guess," John muttered.

"Ro-bots? I'm not sure, I have heard theories of similar machines but I'm not aware if anyone in my country has attempted to construct such a thing. But if you have the materials, tools, plans and available time necessary for such an order I would willingly attempt to construct something like that."
