Harper wandered over to Marston. "So, why're you in for the ride? I mean, you've got family to go to surely. And we picked you up pretty close to them."

Buxtable is a loveable oaf, 24 years old and an experienced speeder bike rider. Not only that, he's even worked in a cantina once. He drank too much free spice-wine and got jittery, overexcited, and fired. He leaves that part out of the story. He has great dreams of becoming an explorer, if only he could work up the will to get up in the mornings. He's an odd-jobs sort of man, and will work anywhere that pays. His most recent venture is as a small-parts mechanic.

Alright.. I've only been here a day, and already I'm seeing tension. I just need to see if anyone's got any tech that's not running right, then I'll get out. I've got a Bryar here that's been shorting out, and it *blaster misfires a round into the floor* Whoops! Oh jeez, I should probably have unloaded that. Ha.. Hmm. What's going on here, anyway?

Hmm, Apparently the tail gun is broken, but someone else wants to use the parts for a toy robot. SO you'll have to ask Yoko and Huey about that.

A toy robot? Good luck to them, I hope they've got some brains for it though. I build a smart datapad with automated arms but I make a little error and almost lost my nose!

I'll take a look at the tailgun, if it's a seventh-gen plascannon, it's probably got a warped heatsink. It's a standard model, not cheap, but damn if they don't use poor components. I'll see what I can do.

Name's Hake, by the way. Buxtable Hake. Low-level mechanic, but I have a lot of tutorials on the datapad!

It's a funny story. Or that's what they tell me, I've never been allowed to know what it is. Excuse me a moment..

Monotone electronic voice from datapad: Ship functionality: Shields at 45%. Minor damage to Crion hull plating. Life support systems: Unable to read, human inspection required. Significant damage to tail defence gun. Repair required. Functionality report complete.

Oh dear.. I think we'll need to get this piece of junk in a little better shape, or we're not going anywhere fast. I didn't see any workable spares around, I think I'm going to have to go for patch jobs. I didn't catch your name by the way. And is this your pistol? I just found it in the doorway.. If no-one claims it, I'd like to fix it up. As a tech, I'm not really issued with anything to defend myself.

Fine, I've got two. Mine and my service issue one. Thats the service one. The names Harper. Colour Serjeant Harper of the Great British Special Air Service and currently cocking around with these guys. Do you need to be taught how to fire and use that thing?

Good to meet you, Harper. Some pointers would be great. Maybe I'll get it fixed up first, can't be doing with another misfire, if the laser rebounds then I could take someone's eye out!

Who's in charge around here? I think we'll need to carry out a recce, see if there's anything we can use to patch up this heap a little better. If I take a look around I'm sure I can find out where we're short.

soz, I thought it was a projectile pistol you had (USP). Also, we're on a space ship from the Star Wars universe, traveling to the Outer rim (don't ask me why). I believe that Huey (world_of_dragons) is in charge due to him being the one who started this thread.

Hensworth deftly dodges the errant blaster round. "What in the world was that?!"

He decides to leave the idea of the Ganmen, believing it is not currently workable and begins inventorying his tools while eavesdropping on the above conversation.

Hensworth Steward Shaw is a 26 year old machinist from the Nation of Gedweim, located on a planet in a small parallel dimension. As a graduate of the Machinist Academy he is well versed in the steampunk and clockwork based technologies of his homeland and helped with the creation of the Lady Catherine airship at just 17. He ended up in this situation after working on a machine conceived in a bizarre dream. He is equipped with a number of odd-looking tools and gadgets, an archaic looking pistol and a "slide-sword". He is dressed in clothes vaguely reminiscent of the 18th/19th centuries. Despite his appearance, he has been on a number of adventures.

kay. BTW, what is Hensworth from? It sounds similar to the Airman book in terms of intelligence and tinkerability; and the general world is similar to that of the 'His Dark Materials' series (Northern Lights, Subtle Knife, Amber Spyglass).

Well, if you want to get some info on the others in this ship; we appear to be quite a weird bunch; I can only give you so much.

Huey seems to be the unofficial leader. A self proclaimed 'Jedi Master' we're in his ship, and going where he chooses. Mr Marston is a deft one with a pistol and seems to be quite the adventurer and a frontiersman. Yoko seems to be a sniper with a fixation on building a toy robot with a face in its stomach or something like that. I'm an SAS man myself, 'the all round fighter' and 'stone cold killer' of the group I guess. The SAS was the best group of soldiers in the world, back where I came from. They were the primary special and clandestine force of the British army. Finally there's a guy called Hensworth. Seems to be all right, quite the Da Vinci. You may have a little Pipboy or something; but I bet he would be able get his head around pretty much anything and have time to improve it. Dresses and talks quite old fashioned though. Not sure if he's from the world I came from or not.

Yoko poked her head in. "A Ganmen is not a toy robot, it's a full-sized combat machine!"

Please, please PLEASE use quotation marks when talking. It gets confusing.

Hensworth cleared his throat. "She was merely suggesting that the turret would make a good addition to the machine's weapons as it apparently operates on similar technology."

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, not exactly feeling too well, so my thought process is messed up. I'll try to post as soon as I can

Is any one else gonna post? If not then can I land where ever we're gonna land?

'Fine, still don't see why we need a toy robot though.'
