"Y'know, if the other guys don't get here soon, their pizza's gonna get cold." Loggy said, chomping on his pizza. In the background, blood, fur, magic and lots (and lots) of swords were flying through the air.
"This is the second most epic fight I've ever seen." Phil whispered, awestruck. "I mean, this is, like...it's...It's like that fight from that one South Park episode where Kenny goes to heaven and commands the leigions of heaven, only the epicness of the two armies is represented by two people made of pure awesomeness! And I was a part of that fight! I was the angel to the far left!"
"Yeah, that happens." The Logician said. "I've seen more awesome, but I won't go into detail because it
literally has to be seen to be belived."
"I don't believe it." CybeRyan said. "Give me an example."
The Logician shrugged. "There was this guy named Sutacross; his name means 'The Swordsman' or 'Vanguard', and he
is the master swordsman. He ended up taking on two of 'Those' by himself. I was only able to take one, and even then I had a
lot of help, from a several
very powerful beings, and it still destroyed Jerry."
"...what are 'Those?'" Sam asked.
"You don't want to know." The Logician said. A magical blast, possibly thrown by either one of the two battlers) went off just to the right of him. "Leave it at that."
Everyone shrugged. "So what are we going to do about Ramthundar and Frank?"
The Logician shrugged. "Why don't we go see how they're doing?"
"Well I don't see how we possibly could..."
Time and space warped around the group; before they knew it, they'd all gone to
"I see Loggy transported you here." Ramthundar said, smiling. "Way to go, but you're late."
"Pizza's still warm." Sam said, holding out a piece.
"Bastards got away." Frank said, throwing his gun at the ground. "And everyone but our local 'dark is not evil' archetype is still liable to become a chemera at any time. You can do something about that, can't you?"
The Logician thought for a moment. "At Sanctuary, maybe. I'd need to know more about the condition, though."
"I could tell everything you need to know." Frank said. "But first I'm gonna catch up with Xandus and make him
pay."
The Logician shrugged. "'k. Any idea where he is?"
"None at all." Frank said.
Meanwhile, somewhere near the South Pole...
Iji looked off in the distance. "I don't The Nexus anywhere. Is it invisible or something?"
Xandus shrugged. "I don't know. I thought it was on the moon, myself."
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I am
not flying to the moon." Metalseadramon said. "Even I have my limits."
"I know, I don't want to go to the moon."
"We're not going to the moon." Xandus said.
"Then where are we going?" Metalseadramon asked.
"There's an old abandoned outpost somewhere around here." Xandus said. "No one's sure what it is, but it's apparently indestructable, and almost unfindable."
"...how are we going to find it, then?"
"Madddawg brought me here." Xandus said. "I know where it is."
Iji squirmed on Metalseadramon's back. "Wait, so you were brought here once-"
"Land here." Xanus said. Metalseadramon graoned, but obliged.
Xandus got off, scanning the area around them. "It should be somewhere around here. Ah! Found it!"
Xandus placed his hand on a slab of cold rock nearly identical to the slabs of cold rock surrounding them, reciting words he might not have known the meaning to. A wheel spun; a door opened in the sky. An oddly welcome voice announced to them...
Welcome, honored guest, to The Silent Sanctuary. The Logician is not present at the moment, but will be here shortly. Please enjoy your stay.
