Okey dokie Back into dreamland we go.

the heroes suddenly felt the fatigue of their journey catch up to them, sleep wasn't restful in the dreamworld. making it hard to stay awake outside the dreamworld.
when they awoke Ryan had the second parchment. in hand
"I must have grabbed it before Vaati killed us." stated Ryan
the other heroes then decided to get inside the boat and head for the last island which might not be as disappointing. this one was in the south e=western area. Jack noticed that this meant the islands formed a triangle. Ryan had realized that the stones were now a broken circle, they had lost the air and earth and darkness stones.

I wasn't sure what you were up to Leet, so I didn't write your characters out, But I didn't include them either. I didn't mean to attack you, but you did go a bit controlling and for lack of a better word, wierd. Maybe you could just try to loosen up a bit, and I agree with the industrial strength retcon. It's a good thing we can all choose what we want to happen, retcons, plot, characters.

For what its worth, I'd like to apologise to you Leet_x1337. Through a combination of my own actions and not being considerate I've caused you a great amount of confusion and anger, and for that I'm sorry. I never had it in for you, you just got on my nerves a bit so I acted upon that and over-reacted. For that, I'm sorry.

I'll stay behind and guard the boat at the next Island and not cause anymore trouble. I always get angry and do things out of wrath. For everyone: Here's what I'm keeping.
-Scott is retired. His heart attack somehow not only left him alive, but also returned him and Ramona to Toronto with no memory of the events of the last three pages or so. That doesn't mean he won't ever come back, though.
-Youmu's physical body lies in the dream world, so to bring her back, all anyone has to do is be carrying her in the dream when they wake up and it should be fine. But they still have to find her. And do that thing with the parchments.
-Yukari isn't getting involved in this. That's kind of her thing, not getting involved in things. Technically, she shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place, even!

Hope that's cleared a few things up. On with the show. And speaking of sho(w), I'll be changing my avatar again sometime before this plot arc ends.

the third island took the form of a shoal beach, this meant there was no actual land mass however around the center there was a deep pit, they could see from the color of the water.
suddenly emerging from the water was a massive squid.
"Oh dear its that squid we attaked earlier."
"ACTUALLY i'M HIS OLDER BROTHER" stated the squid
"I HAVE NO HARD FEELINGS TOWARD THAT AS I'M GUARDIAN OF THE FINAL PARCHMENT, I HAVE LEARNED HOW TO BE OBJECTIVE NOW UNLIKE THOSE OTHER GUARDIANS I'LL LET YOU HAVE THE PARCHMENT IF YOU PLAY
BE THAT HERO.
"Wait the last guy is a squid hosting a game show?"
" THE GAME ONLY ALLOWS THREE CONTESTANTS. YOU MUST CHOOSE WISELY.
Ryan shrugged
"I'll go you guys decide between yourselves."

"Uh, Ryan? There's only three of us left." Tomoya pointed out. Ryan looked around and saw that he was right; Jack had opted out and Alice was in a deep sleep somewhere, leaving him, Tomoya, and Zero left.

"Oh. Well alright then. Then I guess...hey, Zero, WAKE UP!"

"Nnhuh?" Zero lifted his head up to stare sleepily at the elder. Ryan slapped the back of his helmet. "Dangit boy, this is the last parchment. You better not screw this up for all of us!"

"Ouch! Alright alright!" Zero blinked a few times and shook his head to wake up. Once he was done, Ryan stepped forward to challenge the squid.

"Alright, we're all here! What do you want us to do?"

Once the three Heroes stepped forward they had formed a line with Ryan on the Right, Tomoya in the middle and Zero on the right. suddenly a game show podium erupted from the Ground.
it was a simple design a basic podium with a black bar, on the bar were the numbers 000. below was another bar but this one was blank.
the heroes couldn't leave the podium as the podium had a set of cage walls that reach their waists, this boxed them inside.
The podiums were then lifted ten feet in the air eye level with the massive squid.
The squid was now ready for the game show, he was wearing a custom XXXXXXXL blue suit. and a microphone in one hand in the other were a deck of game cards. a camera crew appeared out of nowhere (They looked a bit like a bunch of Lakitu's) one of them signaled to the squid they were about to air. 3 2 1
"Hello there your watching Who's the Hero.
And I'm your host Big Blue. Today's contestants are from the Real world Let's see what theyre playing for."
a Voice over then played in as the camera man circled the third parchment.
"Today's Prize is the third piece of the ancient Scroll. Written on it is the final part of the spell needed to awaken the wind fish."
"Now then let's meet out contestants."
the camera then zoomed in close to Ryan, a another contestant urges Ryan to wave. he did only because he was sure that was a rule.
"Ryan is an advanced Bio-mechanical organism, he's created his own sword style and is the only bearer of the Vongola rings.
the others then noticed Ryan had a red podium, Tomoya's was yellow and Zero's was blue." the name Ryan appeared on the previously blank bar.
"Our next contestant, a Young man named Tomoya, he was a juvenile delinquent and later became a great swords man as well as an experienced marksman.
Our Final contestant is a Young man named Zero, a proud marksman and owner of some advanced weaponry.
Now that we met our contestants lets get right into it. let's see what the first challenge is.
a roulette wheel appeared, the wheel spun everyone watched as it land the pointer was on a fire symbol.
"Wooh boy first round is the roast round you may notice that the fire is re, that means that the Red podium is our lucky recipient. That means that you get to be roasted by your friends, how sadistic is that?
Now then you will be pointing out Ryan's biggest flaws, and Ryan will have the option to challenge, if you prove your right you gain points if your wrong you lose points and the one with the lower score gets roasted. lets get started

I kinda guessed there were only three left.
now just to be clear Tomoya and Zero have to list Ryan's worst faults and Ryan can challenge which means you have to prove he has that flaw so if you say he's arrogant if challenged you have to give an example of him being arrogant.

"Beep!" Tomoya slammed the buzzer hard, Big Blue looks towards Tomoya and questions "Contestant yellow please state the flaw you have chosen "Sorry to point this out Ryan but we want to live...right, okay, Ryan doesnt value us equally to the older heroes and think that we suck" Tomoya then eyes Ryan to see if he hits the buzzer to challenge Tomoya's statement.

"Finally we made it. Now we just have to find a bridge that is intact enough to cross the Potomac. But right now I suggest taking a break to eat lunch," suggested Ken after walking nearly two hours. He hoped that they had something other to eat than the those bland steaks.

ryan grimaced but accepted the Jibe which was true on all accounts.
The bar that had read 000 started counting up rapidly, it now read 020. tomoya had gained 20 points.
"Good flaw not very insulting I'm being roasted not soft boiled." stated ryan.
a recorded sound of an audience going
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh" and then laughter.
suddenly Ryan gained 50 points.

I don't know how long I've been here. Everything that's happened just seems to have meshed together in my head, as though I'm dreaming. Nobody's come to see me, except once, for a while. But that ended before it could really begin, leaving me alone here for a long time.

Somehow, a building with lots of bright lights and loud sounds has appeared near me. I've been too intimidated to look inside. I've never seen anything like this before. Eventually, though, I work up my courage and peek around a corner. And I realise:

I'm finally going to be able to leave.

Tomoya mutters "Fucking unfair TV show!" *DUNG-DONG* Tomoya has now got 19 points "What was that for!" Tomoya shouted "For bad sportsmanship" says Big Blue "AAAAHHHH, When I get out of here im going to make sushi out of you!" *DUNG-DONG* 18 points, Tomoya then pouts to stop losing points and grumbles swears.

Jack could hear Tomoya swearing from the Airship, and wondered what was going on. He could see the giant strobe lights waving in the sky as well. "How long does it take them to kill a giant beast and grab a piece of paper???" Jack growled.

Bored and getting angry, Jack set off for the lights and sounds to see what the hold up was.

Why have I still not gone inside and spoken to the guys in there yet? Am I worried about that giant squid? If I wanted, I could turn him into calamari before he could blink! So what's still--...Hey, I remember this guy! Maybe he could help me!

Jack was cut off from his walk towards the building with the lights when he was suddenly tackled to the ground. "Jack!!!" it yelled at him, ecstatic rather than angry. He shook his 'attacker' off, and took a better look.

Somehow, defying all the laws of probability, Youmu was still around.

 

[Orinon]

"Hey Zero, You got any criticism for me? You'll have to come up with something."
Tomoya was a little upset about losing points.
"one of us needs to win, then we get the last Parchment. then we find the wind fish, cast the spell everyone goes home happy ending."

 

[XIII's Number XIV]

"Uh..." Zero looked around, confused. He wasn't sure whether to point out a flaw or tell a bad joke.

"Well I agree with what Tomoya said, and the fact that you can be arrogant sometimes, and a little naive. And really? The last trial is dealing with Captain Calamari here...?" there was mild laughter from the 'audience', and for some reason Zero had gained 15 points.

This is humiliating...why can't I just let myself be torched? I'd probably be fine, seeing as how I have the Water Stone... He thought. Then he looked at Tomoya "Any room on the sushi train when this is done?"

 

[Orinon]

the audience laughed again.
"WELL IT WOULD SEEM THAT ZERO WILL BE GETTING THE SECOND ROASTING, LETS HOPE TOMOYA CAN DO BETTER THIS TIME. Ryan your first up."
Ryan smiled evilly.
"I like that but i'll let Tomoya go first. lets see if he's improved. if he hasn't I'll roast him first."

 

[StormShaun]

Tomoya saw the deep dark blue eyes of Zero and sensed killing intent when he looked towards Big Blue and Tomoya did one of his famous thumbs up towards him.

Tomoya thought to himself about Zero "Aha, Zero I remember when I first met you and we fought that Ken guy, and you got your...ugh, what whats is, oh right your buster got smashed up, I think that your biggest flaws are that you rely on technology too much, and also you should rely on your team mates more rather then being a lone wolf, and after this is all over im going to send this damn host to the lightning round and deep fry him into calamari" Tomoya then smirked and sees that he had earned 18 points for that joke, Tomoya then heard laughter from the "audience" and mutters "That wasnt a joke".

Big Blue turned to Zero and questioned in a booming voice "Do you challenge that Mr.Zero!"
then all the cameras turn onto Zero for his ansewer.

Spoiler: Alice's memory stuff.

Dijad was a man you would not notice unless you were specifically looking for him. His hair was cropped just longer than a buzzcut and his facial features were chiseled and well defined. That and his shoulders were wide and his build strong. Not typical of his race, but much suited to the Navy. Though his green marking distinguished heavily from the blue-steel that dominated the people and infrastructure, he looked at home in the station.

Alice shivered from the cold air. The station interior was climate controlled to suit the Caldari, who were well used to the lower temperatures.

"Come little one, the Gallente will bother you no longer," he wrapped his leather jacket around Alice and lead her down the spacious streets of the residential sector.

Alice looked up at Dijad and smiled, oblivious to any of the events that had happen to her. "Where's sister?"

Dijad looked away, "She died when the CNS Grand Vision was destroyed. Her body is being recovered."

Alice smiled, "When can I see her?"

"Soon little one, soon."

"Alice wake up."

"What?" Alice grumbled, jerking awake from her trance like state.

"The rest of the crew has entered an artificial sleep, initial probing of chemical compo-"

"You probed them? Did you ask for consent?"

"No."

"You can't do that! That's an invasion of privacy. What they dream is private."

"All data collected that correspond to regular patterns is deleted after examination. This is currently not the case."

"What, what do you mean?"

"As I was trying to explain... Chemical compositions in their brains have changed and are acting on corresponding wavelengths. Samples collected from the crash indicate the similar chemical compounds as to that current in the bloodstream of the others."

"Something's linking them together?"

"Something like that. They are in a dream together, interacting with each other."

"And I'm not in it because of you."

"That is correct, I have administered an anti-body to prevent it from affecting you."

"Can you wake them up?"

"I could, but it would require regular doses to prevent them from slipping back."

"So nothing we can really do."

"No."

"Well why did you wake me?"

"BlackHarte is requesting a jump onto the ship. You need to authorize the signal broadcast."

"Just go ahead."

"Thank you."

Alice frowned and then fell back to sleep.

BlackHarte stared longingly at the setting sun over the ruins of D.C. he let out another mournful call before the signal reached him.

The stone in his furnace vibrated harshly, and purple lines began to run up and down the creature's body. In an ear shattering explosion of air, he was gone.
