So, how about, if Caim were to go batshit, he's on no ones side? He just wants to kill even moreso than usual? If the batshit idea is approved. Also, leet, I mean this in the most sincere way, if you want the heroes to do something, than do it! Make your own side plot, or, if you want, make them show up at the battle with Tiberius and my duo. Before I take Caim down the batshit road, I want to make sure the forum approves. Kay? :)

Well, we are still in Frank's mecha car thingy, and due to the fact that I revived you I lost a big amount of energy, so I am either going to go off by myself and look for a energy source or you guys can come with me and we can create some crazy arch that involve us going into a powerplant to look for the main generator, but I want your guys opinion on this before we do anything.

An incredibly bright flash of light filled Neku's vision for a second. Before he could bring his hand up to block it out, though, it was gone, revealing a lot of green. Grass? he wondered. Why is there suddenly grass here?

He looked around. As far as he could see, only that 'angel' had come alone with him to... wherever this was. He decided to let Tomoya come find him. It was bound to happen eventually, but the less time he had to spend with that full-of-himself 'angel', the better.

I typed this while Shaun was posting his bit.

I don't mind but what are you going to do there and what do you intend, Im just wondering, because well my character is way too weak to come to you at the moment (Where are you anyway), Im probably going to get some energy back with Frank and we may come looking for you at some point or just me. Oh well, Onward!

A bright light engulfs the car and it left Frank and Tomoya dazed for a while, "WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!?" Frank yelled, as their vision came back they both noticed that Neku was gone, "Hmm, strange" Tomoya pondered as he put his hand on his chin.

The two wondered what happened with Neku and what were they going to do, "Hmm, Im too weak to fly at the moment, Im going to jump out here and go to the closest energy source, you fly around the world and look for him" Tomoya told Frank, "Whaaat, thats a long flight" Frank moaned, "(Good)" Tomoya said in japanese, "Fine, fine, Ill do what I want here first and then Ill look for the kid, and if I get him first Ill pick you up" Frank said, "That sounds good" Tomoya said as he jumped out of the car and barley hovered to the ground safely, "See you later!" Tomoya yelled before he ran off.

Before too long of walking in completely the opposite direction, Neku stumbled across what looked like a ruined facility and decided to go check it out. Since he didn't have any spray paint with him, though, he couldn't leave a marker for Tomoya to figure out, eventually. Instead, he just wandered down through the entrance, which looked a bit like an outside toilet, and let an elevator underneath lower him down to its eventual destination.

Several kilometres below Neku...

A heavy door made almost entirely out of lead came clean off its hinge. Behind it, a voice could be heard quietly laughing, or would have been if there was anyone else to listen. The person inside the room slowly floated out, looking for the nearest big empty space to fill...with a sun.

...what, you thought I'd forgotten she existed?

On the plus side, there should still be plenty of energy sources down there, even if they are all running on 1.1 volts.

Tabitha finished the rune and destroyed New York, but that wasn't really important. What's important was that during the assault on Detroit, the ship, which was devoid of all crew members, suddenly left on it's own accord.

What's important is that BlackHarte is hiding himself somewhere, but where?

Where? Why he's right there. Over there, don't you see?

A mere two kilometers beyond Tiberius the space around, well, space began to shimmer, the darkness gave away to blue light, which gave away to simple polygons, which then gave away to a vessel, black and red, drifting slowly in orbit of Mars. It's engines buzzed to life and it began to fast approach Tiberius. At one thousand meters a second, he rammed into the Turian Dreadnaught in two seconds.

There was a flare of purple/blue fire and both ships went flying in opposite directions, the dreadnaught in a wild barrel role and the Widow straight back, it's engines slowing itself down. The kinetic barriers on both ships had done their job well.

---

EDI was baffled, an AI was attacking the ship's electronic subsystems on over six thousand ports, and something physical was slowing down the circuitry in the ship. Whatever was trying to attack them, it was far more advanced than any model she had combated before.

Suddenly, all at once, the firewalls gave away and a flood of information stuck itself into her hard drives, her RAM, and clogged her processing chips.

Tiberius was confused but not worried at EDI's sudden silence, but became annoyed when the ship began to stall and the system clock slow.

To EDI however, time was moving too fast. There was an enormous amount of data, pictures, programs, documents. It was as if all of human history was downloaded into her. Then it stopped, all the data stopped, and she was in a large meadow with rolling grass. Suddenly, she had a body.

On the other side of the field there was a boy, crying, his hair black and skin pale. His eyes where deep synthetic green and his clothes nebulous. There was a pang of emotion inside her, pity. Something was odd, EDI felt... human.

Since there seems to be a shortage of heroes, I thought of an even better idea. I can turn Caim into a hero. :D Albeit cruelly.... Is that cool, forum?

Let's rock this ***** >:D Well, the reason I was asking was because it's going to change his original canon portrayal quite a bit... Then again, I heard Death the Kid used to run around with a sharingan on this forum, so I guess I can do whatever....

The two were falling hard into the black hole, the pressure and the cold compressing them. To finish the job, Tiberius had been firing rays of various energies at the two. Angelus, flapping her wings as hard as she could manage, knew that her end was coming, and therefore, Caim's as well. No, she could not allow that. She had 10,000 years to herself; she had lived a good life, Caim... Caim was still so young. So full of vitality and youth. Barely even an adult in a dragon's eye. He knew how to survive without her. He could... Couldn't he? With a gut instinct of what to do, she called out to her partner,

"CAIM!"

"I know... I'm sorry, Angelus."

"It's not that, Caim."

"What are you talking about? Do you know a way out?"

"A way of sorts. Caim; this will be my end."

"What?"

He looked upon the dragon's massive head, and noticed a strange look in her eyes.

"I can save you, Caim. You need only trust me."

"Wait, what about you, Dragon? Angelus? Answer me!"

Angelus did a barrel roll and threw Caim upwards, and watched as he twisted in the air in shock and fear. And, in a deep voice/roar, she called to the heavens,

"Thus, I end my pact with this human, in order to preserve him. May he take my power, with the cost of my life."

There was a silence for a moment, and something strange seemed to have occurred. The pressure had ceased, and Caim was hanging mid-air, in what seemed to be nothing at all. Then, she flew straight at him, with her jaws wide open, as if to fire. Caim held his hands in front of himself defensively, and anticipated the end.

But it wasn't. Caim felt the rush of the dragon's built upon attack flying towards Tiberius, past him, and her magical energies able to burst through the barriers and lay a few blows upon the Conqueror. The next thing he knew, there was a bright red light, and he heard a roar; loud and vibrant like the day they first met. Then, darkness took him.

--- From Tiberius' viewpoint

From what the Conqueror could see, the dragoness was somehow able to break free from his attack; how she was able to do it was anyone's guess. She threw the human out of the abyss and began to charge him. An attack was released, and a crimson light flooded the sky. The dragon seemed to envelope the human, looking as if she was made of smoke, or fog. It was thin at first, and began to concentrate further and further and further around him. Finally, the light grew so great, that all around was turned red in it's brilliance.

Caim burst forth from the light, his equipment, once containing blue, was now red. His sword seemed longer, and it burned with a never-ending fire. His armor was even darker than before, and one could see a pair of wings behind him, reminiscent of his former dragon. Indeed, Caim had become something more; more than any human pact partner would ever hope to be. He was... Different, in many ways. He looked up, the red still misting around him. Sorrow and anger filled his eyes. He would not waste the dragon's... No, Angelus' sacrifice. She saved him, and he would repay her in this man's blood, if he was even a man. The new-born warrior pointed his sword at Tiberius, and uttered three words: "I am Caim."

If Caim is able to break some of Tiberius' shit, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to join the heroes. Make of this what you will guys. I originally wanted to turn him into a dragoon, if you guys ever played Legend of Dragoon, but this idea was cooler. I guess he's kinda a human/dragon hybrid of sorts now... If anyone could help with the semantics, that would be great. Happy battles, Ynnek; I think our friend can handle Tiberius a bit better now. Sorry if this felt like an asspull, let me know if I could somehow fix that...

Tiberius was really annoyed by this man who sought to fight him. He really didn't care what kinda beef this Caim had with him, but now he wasn't going to hold back. Tiberius held out his hand and a black steel sword appeared in it. He didn't really like using this sword but it did give him an extra boost when using it. "Do you know what this sword is called? It is called the Blade of Corruption and it was given to me by a friend about 300 years ago in my past. It is said that whoever holds this blade slowly turns into a demon of equal power and whoever gets cut by it slowly goes insane. Although none of it's victims have lived long enough to find out but I hope you will be the first to find out if it's true," he finished saying as he charged at his opponent with incredible speed, his sword ready to attack.

"You asshole! turn off the ships damn defenses,i can see them light up my vision like one of omega's sprees!" Xero shouted at Tiberius while staying just outside the ships defensive perimeter.

"EDI, there is a cyborg just outside your defensive perimeter. Would you kindly let him onto the ship?" he asked EDI through a communicator while still fighting Caim. "Right away Commander," she replied to him.

Caim chuckled darkly. "My sword has no fancy names. It was my father's and his father's before him. It now has the power of my ally, the dragon that YOU killed: Angelus." With a mention of the dragon's name, the sword's fire seemed to flare for a moment, then it returned to it's normal pace of burning. He saw Tiberius charge at him, and with a flap of his wings, he was able to dodge the attack with ease. He swiped at the demonic man, the fire trailing the sword's arc; but to no avail. It sparked in the presence of the horns and a small fireball was created, charging after Tiberius and hitting him square in the back. It didn't appear to do much, but Caim was pleased by the new development.

Still here for me, dragon?

He slashed his sword at Tiberius again, sending more small fireballs towards Tiberius whenever he missed. Granted, the sword had to be close to Tiberius for the fire balls to appear... No matter. He was stronger, faster. He would avenge Angelus, he had to.

Xero flew towards the ship, seeing that the defensive field is down and made his way inside. "Thanks..." he hesitated for a moment and then fished the name from the systems. "EDI." he said and pulled up a map of the ship. "There we go, power core room."

After a bit, Xero had a system in place, hooked directly to the power core. He sunk back into the chair and wire plugged directly into him. barely anything was visible from the outside. it looked like a giant mesh of thousands of wires. "EDI, wake me when The commander is back"

"Will do sir."

And Xero drifted off into a stand-by mode/sleep.

"I don't why your blaming me for killing your dragon. I gave you a warning and yet you still kept coming," he said calmly as he kept on fighting. He swung downwards but was easily blocked by Caim. "You only have yourself to blame," Tiberius said while still forcing his sword down. Quickly one of his hands left the sword and delivered a strong punch to Caim's gut

Would it be possible, through many trials and tribulations, for Caim to overcome the sword's insanity powers? I'd like Caim to go to the good guys side, but I still like the idea of him overcoming the corruption in some way. Does it manifest in bad dreams? How does it drive one insane? I need it to properly develop Caim.... He was rather flat in the original game. Also, is it alright for me to have Tiberius spare his life? Guilt is awful.... I'll edit once you reply

Caim felt the wind leave his lungs, and he bent downwards; surprised by the impact more than pain. The armor was fortified with a dragon's soul, so one would be hard pressed to break it; the sword shared this characteristic. He looked upwards, anger flaring in his heart. He pushed forwards on his sword, and yelled,

"NO! You killed her! You shot that vortex at us and those energy beams."

As he swung his sword with abandon, anger making his strokes messy, he yelled more; "You killed her! You killed Angelus! You attacked that small world and made the queen leave; we were along for the ride. Hell, I think you were planning on attacking the queen when you got the chance, Mr. Conqueror. That's what your kind of people do anyways! If it wasn't for you.... If it wasn't for YOU... She'd still be-"

In the middle of a bad stroke, and Caim being distracted, Tiberius was able to catch Caim from behind, and slash him on the back; missing the wings. Caim's head drew back in an anguished scream, and Tiberius began to levitate. He looked downward at the pained human,

"Pathetic. Not even taking responsibility for your actions. As I said before, YOU attacked ME. I was defending myself. You're not even worth killing, Caim. I'm sure the power of the sword will do you in well enough. Also, I noticed that your name comes from 'Cain'. A pathetic name for a pathetic man. What the dragon sees in you I've no idea."

Tiberius floated back to his ship, gave quick orders to EDI, and prepared to move out; leaving Caim floating in sheer agony, his wingbeats barely enough to keep him afloat.

That's a shame... Things aren't looking to good, with the heroes leaving all over the place. I'll do my best to add to the forces, kindly statue!
