Yeah it was a little bit hax that people could get them after the event. They've probably noticed and done something about it. What does it say exactly, Lowen?

The cookie badge wasn't from a real contest. We told people in IRC [/chat] that sending us cookies would result in a cookie badge. Because... We like cookies.

I think exceptionally good recipes were considered as well, but that's up to editorial discretion.

Also yes, we don't generally do it, but admins can assign and remove badges manually. We don't generally do it to people who aren't staff unless fixing something though (or it's hard to code so needs to be assigned manually). And of course, arbitrarily awarding badges weakens the whole system and makes them less desirable (See: Pony badge).

I'm not really sure on the specifics but these badges seem to be quite weird. All I can do is quote you this and assure you that as far as we're aware, the autmoatically awarded badges (e.g. these) have never failed to be handed out.

Moderator Wrath includes probations, suspensions and bans. Not entirely sure if it includes locked threads, but I would think not as threads are oft-locked for straying off topic, if everyone is abusing the OP, or other reasons beyond the OP's control.

Don't cite me on this, but I think it that you have to fulfil both conditions on the "Good Conduct" Badges without wrath.

i.e. You could get 250 posts in 7 days, but then get a probation/suspension on the eighth day making you ineligible for the Notable Poster Badge.

I also understand that wrath ruins your chance at any "higher tier" of the "Good Conduct" Badges.

i.e. You could go 50 posts, then get a probation/suspension, and then have another 1000 posts without punishment, however you'd be ineligible for the Epic Poster Badge due to the suspension/probation.

Simple terms: Invoke wrath and you've borked it.

I haven't encountered any bans, probations or anything of the sort since I joined on March 26th. How odd :/

I only just got my MM badge. It's definitely being handed out as a cycle rather than one big bulk. I reckon the Red Faction badge won't be handed out until the contest has finished.
