Heck, I would, if only I were Australian. As it stands, I have to hope one gets held in the US someday, hopefully in the Midwest.

Hopefully I can sneak off work with annual leave or something. But it's the kinda thing I'll need to know in advance like a month or so out.

Not a bad idea. I think I'll put it next to the old thread though as Escapism remains my favorite thread on here. So many memories of a really good day.
I would've gone to the UK one earlier this year but I had something planned for the week it was on. Well, that and the fact that my mum think's I'm too young to meet people from THE INTERNET!

Oh, and there's a new PS3 Gaming Clan [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.162906] thread, seeing as sv93 got banned and his thread is now really dead.

Did he? I didn't even notice that he was gone...

I try to get dates and such two months in advance. You should be okay.

In my experience they're remarkably easy to do...

"Hi! I'm going to be here, on this date, at this time, then moving to location X for activity A, then to location Y for food 7. Join me."

That part is the easy part, it's parting with 350 or so dollars that always hurts... I'll try my best Lab! I would like to see you guys again.

A recommendation:
NewClassic's [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.163355#4223470]'Escapist Community Year In Review: 2009' thread[/a] A look at how this community has changed over the course of 2009.
Damn, I guessed the Behind the Avatar thread! Oh well, it was a nice try. Hey, a question, does posting stuff in user groups add to your post count?

That's a nice thread too, though it is rather similar to the [a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.103722?page=1]'Post a picture of yourself' thread[/a]. Yep, posts in user groups increase post count. That's why I have such a ridiculous number of posts to my name despite only making about 700 posts in the forums.
I wondered if that might be the case because you're heavily into the user groups yet I rarely see you on the forums and your post count kept on sneaking up.

It's easy to make more than 100 posts in a day just chatting to a few of the close friends I've made.
Neonbob and I do that via PM... doesn't quite increase your post count though, hahaha!

Just to let you know, Ratings War III has now finished and The Rating's War IV: Paradise City [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.162869] is now in the preparation before starting next year.

Welcome to Paradise City. The grass may not be green, but the girls are very pretty.

Should I update it then when the new thread actually starts?

*shrugs* People are signing up to it now and the character sheets are being handed in, so I think it would be better if we updated it now for those who haven't yet signed up, but may want to.

K, although it might not be for a few days though. I'm too tired now (1:30 am here... 10am start at work, bleah!) and I'm going to visit grandparents for a few days over the holidays, which usually equals little internet access. I will find time for it though.

For me that's the hard part ... I'm starting to have the money. I'm just lacking the time. You know. Vessel and all.

Oh, and my thread, "table of language" is kinda suffering from cancer or something at the moment. Hopefully people who wishes to learn something in another language are still using it, though ..

(Shrugs) who really does have the time nowadays? The majority of the people who went to Escapism were younger than you or I, so have less responsibilities and hence more time on their hands to burn. Really all I can do is try to get up there, but it's always hard to say what will happen 4 or 5 months in advance.

I think a few of the old threads might be passing the newer forums by, but what you did with that thread was amazing even if it is quieter nowadays. That's the thing you have to take out of something like that.

Yeah, that's one of the disadvantages of getting older.
But I do have some vague idea of what I'm doing in four, five months. Although it helps very little, since I know that I'm going to be going to college. And then obviously will have no money -.-

Yeah, I like to think that it did help people in need of language help.

Just a quick question: When did you get "thanks"?
