I originally had my badges thread alphabetically but after I finished, there was way too many to look at as a list, so it seemed more helpful to section it.

It's worked out a lot better that way. I've always liked the way your Badges thread was presented, very neat and well set out.

One question though, what do you think can be done (if anything) to promote this thread? I'm a bit lost as to if anything can be done to get it out there more. Or would it be best just to leave it be and let it run by itself?

I really have no idea about this kind of promotion. Mine was insanely unsuccessful to begin with. I thought it died before I even got a single reply but then someone did like a month later and it was a hit. I guess it's just luck.

I'll just leave it alone then. If there's a small core like yourself that use it to access the threads in it hopefully it might catch on eventually. Thanks for the advice!

I encountered this thread today. It was a "What are you listening to"-thread. I know it's a game-thread. But it's a game thread that is so obvious that allready exist, that I think it should be up there. Like a fun-thread or something.

As to the trying to keep it alive. I guess one way to do it is making sure it's posted semi-frequently in it. Also hope you're lucky, I guess

I already have, Wilson said they're not going to do it. The only way we can get it to stay up there is bookmark it ourselves. So a few people are using it that way... the trick will be a get a bunch of people doing that.

Well thankyou for bookmarking it. As for how new members see it... I don't know to be honest. Thats one problem I haven't managed to find a solution to yet. I guess as it becomes well known as time goes on people might start to use it more often. Thats about all I can think of doing anyway.

Get the holiday council to dedicate a holiday week to it for laughs, that should get the word spread around.

Anyway, according to xitel they have a new holiday coming up in June, something important to do with the Escapist. I don't think they'd dedicate a holiday to this thread... I loved your idea though! Its very amusing

Hmmmm Not sure maybe if we can get people to change the avatars to little maps with EC on them...not sure how many people would get that though.

I have a feeling promoting this thread is going to be a very slow process of getting people to use it over time. Kinda like griding at WoW or something. Should be fun!

Best way is probably to get people to link to this thread in the case of a clone instead of searching for the old one and linking to that.

Also. I'm sorry to say. It's not an RP. It's just a thread where we make confessions (Although, I'll admit. Now it's more of a thread for a group of Escapists to kid around, and confess about their day =P).

Also. About the previous posts. You see? This is my point. If you are lucky enough that people post in this thread, it'll pop up often enough for a lot of people noticing it. As you can see "Darkless" posted right after your answer to me. Since he saw it pop up when you answered. I would be more than happy to help you with this, if you found a reasonable way to do it

It's actually a hard question to solve... I believe its thinking cap time! I'll have a think while I write up this assignment for uni, because you know, I don't need to concentrate on it or anything lol.
