I've been thinking, since this is a community thread should be discussing community issues to do with the Escapist or maybe even real life? I'm not sure... but maybe something along those sorts of lines might get it out there more.

Also I'm going to add you to the special thanks section, as I'm really grateful for how you've supported this thread

On a second thought. Talk about it. Talk about it a whole lot when it happens. As my sister boyfriend said when I was talking about L4D, wich he did not have the platform to play: "listening to you talk about it, at least gives me the slight feeling of what it's like". So please do. Share your experiences

Yes. Almost like the peoples milita. Only not milita, but community. Here we can talk about any improvemetns we might think of. You know. Like talk about it before deciding it's good enough to be brought up before the board. And maybe let people express how they feel about the community, and what they would wish was different.

Did you ever have a look at another thread of mine, http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.94605#1471045 which asked how we could improve the community? From what I could gather from that thread the mods did listen to our suggestions. I was never told directly and don't think I ever will be, but I think it made a slight difference.

I don't think there's much that really needs discussing at the moment though... the Escapist is looking really good at the moment. There are a couple of things I would like to know though, such as the % of members that have signed up simply for genre wars. I was initially concerned that genre wars might take a little away from the community with people preferring to play that rather than dicuss issues but that doesn't seem to have been the case which is great.

That's my little view though, I'm sure other members would have points they feel the need to discuss. I might modify the OP at a later stage... as well as the title to include the idea of community discussion, I believe you'll have to do a similar thing with your thread.

You should add a section about 'Threads to necro and not re-create' like religion threads, the 'What instruments do you play' threads, zombie threads.

Get the holiday council to dedicate a holiday week to it for laughs, that should get the word spread around.

Thanks for the suggestions, finding them might be a bit of fun though. I like the idea though, instead of constant recreations of old threads the old one simply keeps going. Like Joe's original 'what are you reading?' thread. Those would be good to add.

Really really good! I'm stuffed now though, its 8am sunday morning (I have to start work at 9) and I'm just exhausted. Everyone is really nice in real life and I've always loved Sydney as a city, so it was great to be around the harbour all the time. I believe Labyrinth is planning another one in August but whether I go or not I don't know, this one cost me 350 bucks as it is... worth it though.
