Sorry guys, once again med school decided to rule my life with study about immunology and microbiology and haematology and every other -ology under the sun.
Unfortunately, I simply don't have the time to commit to this site in a posting sense anymore. Even though you guys do a fantastic job with providing me with new threads and really, all I have to do is copy paste them across, even that task seems streneous when I have 10+ hours of study to do (which I have been doing every day in the run up to exams).
I guess I really have to face facts and accept that I can't provide my services to this site, which, while containing a fantastic community and people I genuinely consider friends, is too much time out of my life when one considers the other things which are going on in it. And this is in my pre-clinical years as well, I shudder to think what it'll be like when I have ward rounds starting at seven every day.
To everyone who has committed to this thread, the recipe book and the jam thread, thankyou. You've been fantastic and every post has been welcomed. To those people who recommended that I be 'thanked', again thankyou. It was an honour I didn't deserve.
To those people who I've liasoned with and befriended during my time here, I'm sorry I couldn't keep up the commitments required. To those Escapists I met in real life in Sydney, that was one of the funnest days I've had and I'll never forget it. To Lab especially, your thread about that day easily remains my favorite one on here.
I guess I'll take my leave now. I think those members who request to be perma-banned have got the wrong idea, it's quite a tacky way to go out and I'd rather know that I can still log back on at any stage if the muse grabbed me in the future. (ie I'll just log my profile out). The Escapist will continue on without me.
I never quite got Neo... what a shame, I always liked that badge.
