That looks pretty cool, except for the part about paying for stuff for your avatar. That's bullshit.

Oh, about the whole 'Games On Demand' shindig, I've heard that BioShock, among others, will be one of the games available for download. I'm assuming that they'll cost around 30-40 quid, but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything more specific about the pricing than that (so I know how much I ought to have spare for when the update rolls around).

Hopefully company's will see this as yet another marketing gold mine and put out like free Doritos's shirts and stuff because there is no way I'm wasting that much on pointless avatar accessories

You could email Microsoft to be part of the preview. I provided you with the link before, but here it is again [http://majornelson.com/archive/2009/07/20/xbox-360-system-update-preview-program.aspx].

Lies. It is not out today.
Have you even read the rest of the thread? Susan has stated a couple of times already that the PREVIEW version is out today, which you can (try to) sign up for using the link DIRECTLY ABOVE YOUR POST.

look slike a funky update for sure, the whole netflix thing is a sham as i wouldnt mind having access to that but hey we'll be getting 1 vs 100 at least.

all in all looks like a fairly decent update, looking forward to see if it lives up to the expectations when it comes online.

The first wave of people that were accepted into the preview program were notified today; I did not get in the first wave. Major Nelson says that if you haven't recieved and email yet, you are not in the first wave. Luckily, registration is still open and there will be another wave later this week. Woo-hoo!

Any game that goes on there will be priced as their normal retail price for a new copy in stores at that time.
