Actually, I am thinking of instead being a producer of some sort.. Lag in fight will probably be bad. Not to mention the difficulty curve in fights.

You can run fine as caldari for the high attributes, then train for gallente ships.Bulletinmybrain said:I am probably going to be starting up a membership this Christmas so see you guys soon.
I am going to be a droner by the way, so I am probably going to be a Gallent. Motherships look too good... 25 drones...
I am half/half on characters. My computer can't really play it well, so manafacturing/science=awesome. But! Motherships are epic...Theo Samaritan said:You can run fine as caldari for the high attributes, then train for gallente ships.Bulletinmybrain said:I am probably going to be starting up a membership this Christmas so see you guys soon.

You can download the EVE client on steam for free y'know.Jamanticus said:Sign me up- I've only been a member of the game for around a month, but I'm a fan!
The only problem is that I don't have EVE registered on Steam- I purchased it through the EVE website, so Steam refuses to acknowledge that I even own the thing....
Really? But, doesn't Steam require that you pay for your subscription through it, as well?Theo Samaritan said:You can download the EVE client on steam for free y'know.Jamanticus said:Sign me up- I've only been a member of the game for around a month, but I'm a fan!

And cousin, NO. I was born before this ship existed!
I'm In... I'm just not running it through steam.... and It's a trial....that and I fucked up my Amarr already. I'm going back to MinmatarrDanny Ocean said:I've started a group for EVE playing Escapists on Steam [http://store.steampowered.com/about/] so that we can get together andI can mooch of youtrade items, partake in missions and help each other out generally. Yes, this is more of a shameless punt than anything else, but I like making groups and labelling them as official.
Unfortunately, hasn't been this case for many a month. Year even. Nobody takes them seriously anymore, and after my own stint as a lecturer (and associated opening to the public of a few home truths [http://www.eve-search.com/thread/782035/page/1]) I can see why.paulgruberman said:Eve University is a good place to start. Having a stint with them looks good in your corporation history when you apply to any of the other player corporations out there, even pirates.
Deleting my trial and downloading the client through steam. Should still work. And then I have to source myself a pre-paid credit card for more game time.Theo Samaritan said:Have fun kitten.
You can pay with paypal. Give me a poke on steam via the L4D group and I'll link you where needbe.smallharmlesskitten said:Deleting my trial and downloading the client through steam. Update on my character...
Close range combat Rifter. (Minmatarr here)
2 125mm gatling guns with various ammo types
2 rocket launchers with a lot of rockets
1 1MN afterburner
1 Shield repairer.
I am still sourcing more stuff.. By tomorrow I shall have a Stasis Webifier (I have it just cant equip it)
Good man! Rifter is a lovely frigate, very flexible. It's possible to get a medium shield booster on there, although cap is an issue. I spent most of my career in rifters, so feel free to ask for advice.smallharmlesskitten said:Deleting my trial and downloading the client through steam. Should still work. Sad to hear, they helped smooth out the notoriously steep learning curve for a good number of new players over the years. Internal drama seems to be a bigger enemy of corporations and alliances than external hostiles.Theo Samaritan said:Unfortunately, hasn't been this case for many a month. Year even. I hear that. Damn near every corp I've been in has fallen apart due to that.paulgruberman said:Internal drama seems to be a bigger enemy of corporations and alliances than external hostiles.
It's pretty amazing how you can lose track of the number of ships and random stuff you have across the galaxy, and then open the item menu and see 20 stations with literally hundreds of stacks of different things. I finally made an effort to consolidate and liquidate the excess, but I think I still have 14 systems (aside from my 'real' home bases) where I have stuff at, though most of it is now limited to NPC officer tags or illicit goods. Being a pack rat at heart is tough on logistics.almo said:Zealot is next on the list of ships to acquire, and maybe Orca. Weird; I never really noticed how many different ships I have.
Thing is, you need to get aggro of all enemy ships (or atleast the ones you're fighting) before letting your drones loose... else your drones will be dog-food-for-pirates...Bulletinmybrain said:Eh, I guess they only like to kill my drones.(I.E I am still moving up and my drones get a hissy fit and fly off into space to kills hit. )
You know what will be awesome about a mothership though? I will be my own fleet. Of drones that is.
