I´d hate to say it was the best xmas ever couse i´m i dont recall the majority of my christmasses with such detail, at its not even the xmas on this occasion i reccall but here goes; my dad was somewhat anti videogames, not a gamer himself and didn´t see the logic so for my mum to convince him to let me get an n64 (had already been out for a few years, only place we could find it was a second hand store in town. So we went down to sus it out and there is this beautifull orange cased 64 bit wonder. Wich we bought and took home (with star wars pod racer) and my dad walks into the lounge two days before xmas to find me playing it. Looking rather pissed says ¨what are you doing¨, wuickly taking advantage of the fact he is from peru and got to be rather carefull with second hand good i reply. ¨just testing it to make sure all the parts are working¨
¨Oh, good idea he replied, how much longer will it take¨
¨O just a few more hours¨
¨ok bout then put it under the tree¨

I have the opposite experience whatever I ask for I don't get. For instance I've just had my 18th birthday, which in Australia means I can drink/smoke etc. I ask my parents for a zippo or a hipflask engraved with something to commemorate the occasion, instead i get a socket wrench set, as a zippo or a hipflask would encourage me to smoke/drink, I do so anyway. For Christmas I ask for Star Trek TOS season 2 on dvd, i get an iou for a job on my car. Although I did get $90 in EB gift cards from assorted relations so definitely going to go and preorder mass effect 2

I got a Halo Calendar, a Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days book and 1500 Microsoft points. And I'm loving it! Last year I got a Cluedo Book Edition so I'm happy.

I've always gotten at last 3 books. This year I got Pride & Prejudice & Zombies as well as Sense & Sensibility & Sea Monsters, Seeking Spirits a new book by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, a Sci Fi short story collection, Warriors: The Fourth Apprentice's first book, Xenopath and a book about how to read Tarot cards since I also got the Rider-Waite version of the Tarot deck. Pretty much that was it.

I remember being little and waiting gleefully during the night to see if Santa came and badger my parents to wake up so I could open presents. Sadly,t hough, those lovely years are replaced with cold hard cynicism.

I remember getting my n64 man i loved that console i had legend of zelda:eek:ot for it and back then i couldn't read very well ( i think i was about 4 so it was still Sam and his dog went to the park ect reading level) So when i first got played it i was constantly asking my parents to read words and explain what things meant to me but after a while i stopped asking and just guestimated and what words meant so probably one of the reasons i have a large vocabulary is because my early reading material was high fantasy.

....man nostalgia

Being able to have £80 extra that my mother knows nothing about lol. Plus the £80 that she has given me and the promise of a £100 EMA bonus in January... yeah i think this was the best time so far.
Wooh EMA! I love that scheme.

OT: I'm waiting on L4D2 when my ma gets back on New Years but so far the best present is a book called something like "The short and terrible reign of Phil", which looks fun.

I got Modern Warfare 2 and Borderlands this year. I wasn't expecting Borderlands but now I've been playing it so much and I've only played MW2 once. I also got an awesome fedora that I love very much.

Also, me and my mom stayed up until 1:30 AM wrapping presents (started at 11:30). It's kinda disappointing watching your sister tear open her presents that you spent time wrapping.
