I live in the UK but my cousin lives in New York, can I enter and get you guys to send it to his address? Then he can bring it with him when he comes home for Christmas.... a longshot I know but here's to hoping.
If the entry has a US mailing address, we will send it to them. That is how we determine 'residency' for contests.
So it's perfectly fine for non-americans to enter, so long as they're over 18 and provide a USA mailing address?

It's perfectly fine for US residents to enter. A US resident is anyone who provides us a US mailing address. :)

"yawn"; was more fun when there wasnt an overly pretentious contest to go with it tbh

USA only? That's a pretty raw deal for most of the forum members isn't it?

TBF, it's a lawyer thing. IANAL but AFAIK it has to be 18 because of the associated work-laws/ownership/prizes and US only because of the legal ramifications of sending Electronica through the mail.

I know Pandora (internet music station) had to block all non-US IP's because of the media laws.

Damn, I wish I could enter. I'm a US citizen, but I'm living in Austria until June of 2009, so I bet that disqualifies me as a "US resident."

EDIT: I do have a valid US mailing address, though. Does that mean I can enter? Anyone know?

I thought that poll was just a silly advertisement. Odd...
That's what I thought! Every time I saw it I got pissed off thinking how they were trying to get me to click the button and get sent to whatever site. See what advertising has done to me? Made me even more paranoid.

And I like how they always put age requirements at the end of whatever they're saying so you get to read all the good things people can win, and then see it's not for you.

Though apparently every single contest requires you to be 18 or older (why is that?), so I should know that before I actually read it.
