This is for a game you actually bought/rented/played, not one you saw the ads for and dismissed. What was the fastest you realized the game was bad or not worth your time? What game was it and why did it fail your expectations? Try to be specific as to what didn't work.

Mine was 5 minutes with Jade Cocoon 2. It had none of the deep story elements of the first game, and it was chock full of cliches.

Your turn.

As soon as I tried Halo Wars demo, I knew it was crap compared to other RTSs I'd played.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt and bought the game.
I still hated it.

Star Fox Adventures for me, it took about ten minutes before I threw that back.

Twisted Metal Black 3. Ugly art direction, underpowered weapons, complete shift in perspective from the previous 2, ruined splitscreen, and crappy cutscenes. Took me about 15 minutes to realize my disappointment.

World of Warcraft. The moment i was told you would play alongside thousands of people i knew it would be as dynamic as Lego people playing slaps. Then it took me 5 minutes to get bored.

Mirror's Edge. Before the demo was even over I hated that game with every bone in my body. Just something about it that I couldn't stand.

The first 20 minutes of Final Fantasy XII. I made it through the opening cinematic and about 5 minutes of real gameplay. I kept playing for about 2 more hours total before getting rid of the game. Just not my style.

Assassins Creed, I just was not feeling it. It screams "Quantum Leap" to me.
The first 5 minutes of Assassin's Creed is crap but the rest of the game is good.
Are either of you going to try the new Assassin's Creed 2 out?

I'd have to say Grand Theft Auto 4.
I was sad when I found out there was no flying car cheat code or a chainsaw anywhere in the game or a tank...or a heat seeking missile launcher...or satchel charges.
;-; They broke my heart.
Its okay though, multiplayer is still fun.

Final Fantasy VII on PC. This was my first (and only) JRPG and Final Fantasy game. I heard so many good things about it and I'm a vivid RPG fan, but it took me only 10 minutes to realize that I really, really don't like JPRGs. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's just not my style.

I own it, and it is sexy, seriously, it would be better to just not try assassins creed 1 and just go straight to 2.
