The fatal flaw of TOR is that it's set in the Old Republic. I don't think it's a particularly dynamic or interesting setting.
Hey, its alot better than Galaxies. And besides, they can constantly add new stuff without interfering with exsisting canon.

YOU CAN BE A BOUNTY HUNTER!?
Yup! They're on the Sith side, their equivalent of the Trooper - aka, frontline Class, with all the fun abilities (arm rockets, flamethrowers, ect).

I'm planning on being a Bounty Hunter myself.
No, Bounty Hunters are like Smugglers, the Troopers are tanks, and the dark sides tanks are Sith Warriors.

You're misinformed, he's right, Bounty Hunter's are a tank/DPS class like the trooper. Smugglers are a low armor class stealth class(their equivalent is the Imperial Agent). Jedi Knights will be the mirror for the Sith Warrior (DPS/Tank).

Oh the KOTOR not made by Bioware and whose plot was an incomplete mess? Yea thats canon then, alrighty....
The KoTOR I like best, warts and all because of how it questions the status quo which, in this case, means the tired old Star Wars cliches we take for granted and that The Force Unleashed was buried up to it's eyeballs in. For example, Kreia chastises you for both charitable and cruel acts, the former because people shouldn't be spoon-fed solutions and the latter because any more brutality is unnecessary after it's aquired what you wanted. Besides, the game was only incomplete because the retarded howler monkeys at Lucasarts forced it out too early.

Yes, KoTOR was the more finished version and a good game by it's own merits but nowadays I just can't play it because of the Jedi hypocrites constantly begging to have their lightsabres shoved down their throats, like when Vandar says "we will need the combined strength of our entire order to defeat Malak" (cliche!). Fucking pathetic, no wonder so many Jedi were converted so quickly. And the punchline is that it wasn't even true; it only took the player to defeat Malak, 1-on-1.

You wouldn't have made it to the bridge of the Star Forge without your two companions, that's what they were referring too. Malak is one person, but Revan wouldn't have been able to defeat him without the help of the Bastila and the republic fleet or his companions.

Let's face it, everyone is going to be Sith. We can either embrace this fact or fight a losing battle.

My personal plan to stop all the Sith roleplay will be my char Darth Fluffykittens.
I would prefer to be the good guy actually, call me a pussy, but I prefer saving people. To see a child smile as I take down its kite from a tree and give it back to him.

Plus, ladies love the compassionate goodies.

Call me crazy, but getting his kite from a tree and then poking him in the eye with it is way more fun. :p

I personally think the Old Republic's greatest flaw is that it's a MMORPG. I might try it anyway though, I do have a soft spot for BioWare games.
Actually I think Bioware are doing a very god job, what I don't understand is why they are making it like a single player experience as well though.

Anyone who's played KoTOR 2 will know that that's bullshit because when you talk to Kreia about Revan, she says that Revan 'met no Sith Empire yet learned their teachings'.
And Kreia is the most trustworthy source around?
Maybe not but she's the sort who takes things with a pinch of salt, (a whole bucket for the Jedi teachings), advises you to do the same and asks the important questions, like whether Revan actually 'fell' during the Mandalorian Wars or if it was a sacrifice he fully understood and was prepared to make. That beats all the pro-Jedi propaganda of the 1st game

I'm sure they are doing a great job, and I suppose there's nothing inherently wrong with MMOs, but I don't particularly like them.

It's like, somebody could make the best pastrami on rye sandwich in the world, but I still won't like rye, you know?

Bastila froze Revans companions in stasis before running away, leaving Revan to singlehandedly beat her, convert her and move on to singlehandedly kick Malaks arse while she uses her Battle Meditation technique to aid the republic fleet. In other words, everyone did their bit to help Revan catch up with Malak but he still won the fight mano a mano, proving that Vandar was talking out of his green, diminutive arse!

If I get into it when it comes out then I was planning to be bounty hunter. why?? one word: jetpack
You've acrually just summed up why I don't want to play a Bounty Hunter. I wanted to be a dude that hunted bounties, not Boba Fett.

In fact, I think this is The Old Republic's biggest problem - Bioware. Bioware have never been very good at balancing meaningful character choices, so they end up taking them away and leaving set characters you can play - Smugglers are ALL Han Solo, Bounty Hunters are ALL Boba Fett. Every last member of the same class is going to act exactly the same, which just flies in the face of the LOOK AT ALL OUR CHOICES FOR WE ARE BIOWARE crap they keep coming out with.

Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Bounty Hunter/Smuggler at first. Maybe a sith character later on.

I found out recently that the majority of people don't like being evil/bad.

E.G. In APB I thought most people would be criminals and when I start playing it more people are playing enforcer.

Also after a while people will start thinking "Now why am I being evil again?" or at least I do... so many times I choose evil over good... now I just want to be neutral... D:
Then explain why in Warhammer Online 75%+ of the population was destruction. I very much expect Sith to outnumber republic twofold at least.
