The fatal flaw of TOR is that it's set in the Old Republic. I don't think it's a particularly dynamic or interesting setting.
Seriously? I think it's the most interesting period of the Star Wars saga, especially the Mandalorian Wars

OT: I will be playing as a Sith Inquisitor first, but I will probably try out all classes and find the one with the most interesting story and fun gameplay

I've said this before but when I was playing Star Wars galaxies there was actually a higher percentage of rebels on the American servers and a higher percentage of imperials on the European servers. Don't really know the significance of that but I found it interesting.

And I really thought I was the only one who thought that. If a star wars story doesn't begin with a Star Destroyer, it just ain't Star Wars to me...

Dark side =/= Bad guys

It's not like playing as a Sith disables the "spare the dude and lie about killing him" way of doing things.

Hell, if you look at it from a lore-technical p.o.v almost any point in the Star Wars universe is pretty much pre-determined and not very dynamic. Equilibrium of good > upheaval > equilibrium of evil > upheaval, etc etc. And during each upheaval period the corresponding Force user group has an advantage over the ruling group.

The Yuuzhan Vong war however does not fall in that typical Force-governed balancing mechanism. That'd be pretty interesting. Shame that the Yuuzhan Vong themselves are such 2-dimensional villains, not sure if they would make an interesting side to play.

I think if I pick this up, I'll play as a Jedi. And if they have character customization to the right extent, I'll make my avatar look like Liam Neeson in Episode I.

I smell a poll thread :p

I'll be rolling Jedi Consular, firstly because they look awesome, and second to annoy my Sith loving brother.

Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Bounty Hunters are Sith, just saying.
What the fu-

No they're not! Whoever told you that?

No. The Sith/Jedi will be like the Death Knight. Loads of people will make one at the start, then realise that there are too many of them a few days later and make a new character.

I think it's fatal flaw is that it completely ignores the KoTOR series, KoTOR 2 especially. It's most glaringly obvious in the trailer when it talks about how Revan met the Sith Empire in the outer regions. Anyone who's played KoTOR 2 will know that that's bullshit because when you talk to Kreia about Revan, she says that Revan 'met no Sith Empire yet learned their teachings'. I just refuse to accept this one as canon, the same way I find that Star Trek Online's "plot" is just a contrived excuse to have you killing every red blip on sensors, no questions asked.
KotOR 2 wasn't developed by BioWare, and who know was George Lucas is doing with Star Wars Canon

I'm going to go exactly in this order:

Wait until the game does release, and then wait a month. Why? Because Every-freaking-time the server gets mega stacked. There's 50 people trying to kill the same 10 [insert monster name here] as you, and this just makes it tedious, it also lets some players experiment with which class they actually want to be.

And then roll for the 'underdog' faction. I do not care which one of them it is, I will roll for the underdog.

There's some good reasoning after this. Mainly, usually the faction with a overwhelmingly larger amount of players is the "Immature faction". As in, has the biggest concentration of young players. I am not saying that young players are bad, I'm just expressing it tends to have more immature players. And those are the players you are going to have to deal with. Of COURSE there will be mature players, but my focus MMO-wise is specifically PVP. In PVP, most of the time you are teamed up with strangers, and it so happens that mature people stick to strategies that work a lot more.

And I don't really know where I'm going with this; I'm just saying that I am sure I'm not the only one thinking this way, so probably the game will balance itself pretty well.
