Hey, they can still make KOTOR 3 TOR does not interfear with KOTOR's timeline.LC Wynter said:The fatal flaw of TOR is that it's an MMO and not KotOR 3.
But that's just my opinion.
You WILL see a ton of Jedi, when the children flock in. It's all well and good now, when the polls are filled out by the forum goers. But I'm sure Blizz did simmilar polls for WoW and I doubt that many of them shoed a massive amount of Night Elf Hunters...Cowabungaa said:Actually, I doubt that we'll see a ton of Jedi. If anything the non-Force users have been given quite a lot of exposure and I think that Bounty Hunter could rival Jedi as most popular Republic class.
I just hope that the Sith wouldn't share the Alliance's fate. I am oh só sick of constantly getting my asses whooped by the Horde in pretty much any Battleground. A fair fight is so much more fun dammit!
Hmm, I suppose that could work. Come to think of it, the high and mighty Republic might severely disapprove of the Bounty Hunter's grim way of doing 'business' and reckon themselves being above it. But the Empire, while hating the Bounty Hunter's independence, just needs to get the job done no matter how dirty he/she does it.Slycne said:You're reading into it wrong. I don't think they are insinuating that they have less funds, but that they simply don't hire bounty hunters as often.
Why hire a bunch of bounty hunters that won't work well inside your chain of command when you could spend that money on training another division of soldiers or a couple space fighters. That's not even accounting for the government bureaucracy that would surround you not spending that money on already sanctioned contracts. The Sith on the other probably have more available income and the need to quickly bolster their ranks.
Oops! I meant the Smuggler, not the Bounty Hunter. I'd reckon especially the kids would like him, or at least the people with only a superficial knowledge of the Star Wars universe. I mean, you can choose between this guy:Jandau said:le snip
I'm gonna play as a Jedi Consular.ThePlasmatizer said:Let's face it, everyone is going to be Sith. We can either embrace this fact or fight a losing battle.
Yes! Burn the heretics, purge the unclean! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!Ghostkai said:Thats right, kill the traitors and usurpers!
That's not what I've seen, the bounty hunter looks way cooler then the trooper. The smuggler looks like a cheap Han Solo knockoff, at least the imperial agent looks to be an original idea. Force lightning is easily going to be more popular then buffs that the jedi would get.Slycne said:At the end of the day, Bioware is doing what matters most to balance the two sides -- making interesting classes on both factions.
Bounty Hunters are NOT sith. They aren't even force sensitve(Normally, there have been exceptions). Just because they've been in the siths employ before doesn't make them apart, it just means they took the job offered.Agayek said:Bounty Hunters are Sith, just saying.Miumaru said:Unlikely. Plenty of people acually prefer being the good guy. Plus there ARE people who would rather be a bounty hunter.
Lightsabers and Force powers?Cowabungaa said:Yeah you really make the Jedi sound like they're SW's Space Marines. Sadly they're monks spending 90% of their time negotiating and playing Judge Judy. What makes people love Jedi so much?
Nope. Plenty of people on TOR forums are going to be Light Side. Your fatal flaw is not a flaw, nor fatal. It's just stupid.ThePlasmatizer said:Let's face it, everyone is going to be Sith. We can either embrace this fact or fight a losing battle.
My personal plan to stop all the Sith roleplay will be my char Darth Fluffykittens.
I love playing support role. I always play healers/semi-healers/buffers in MMOs. I never enjoyed playing purely offensive caster classes with exception of shadow spec for my priest in vanilla/TBC WoW, but it still was more of support role rather than pure all out DPS caster. In AoC i played for a year as a Baer Shaman, enjoying the mix of heal and melee dps, in WAR i was Disciple of Khaine. Jedi Consular seems like a good choice for my preferred play style.Cowabungaa said:Oh, sorry, wrong sci-fi universe. Yeah you really make the Jedi sound like they're SW's Space Marines. Actually, I just love the republic.Cowabungaa said:Yes! Burn the heretics, purge the unclean! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!Ghostkai said:Thats right, kill the traitors and usurpers!

The Sith have those too but they don't have to prance about and settle disagreements between farmers, or walk around in dull brown robes. They can just smite stuff.Quaxar said:Lightsabers and Force powers?
I will definitely support the Republic. Jedi or Trooper, haven't decided yet, but I'm completely pro-Republic.
Y'know, George Lucas really could've picked more from the badassness of, say, Shaolin monks who are indeed awesome as fuck. I mean he obviously got some inspiration there, but somehow he didn't manage to capture their essence.Keava said:Also, monks are always somehow interesting to masses. Blame the martial arts movies for creating such image.
The Republic eh? Can't say I delved much into them really, what makes them so awesome?Ghostkai said:Actually, I just love the republic.
Jedi just come along for the ride.
