Ulrin took the bottle back, though this time he did not drink ad much ad before. "Ghil... I wonder what she would say about all of this. To think she is gone yet Theadrin lives. The Creators are cruel." He sighed. "I do not know how you see glory in all of this, but what you say is true. There is not anywhere to run from this Blight. " he returned the bottle again.

Fidelity tilted its head, looking at the barbarian inquisitively. Aside from an extreme emotional display earlier, there was nothing to suggest the spirit shared the body equally with its previous owner.

"I am sorry, I do not understand the question."

Alrik groaned. "Do not know you, spirit. Do not know you are what you say. Thaedrin is Constable Grey Warden-- you are not. If you to be Constable, must prove that Thaedrin still exist in your head. Let me talk Thaedrin."

"I am afraid that is not advisable. This body belongs to me, now." It stood its ground, unmoved by the man's wants, "If you must remove my authority, know that I will retain my loyalty to the Cause."

Alrik sighed. "Better to let Warden Commander deal with this. Are we ready to head to Weisshaupt?"

Jarrik accepted the bottle back while asking back with a quirked metal studded eyebrow. "If you don't mind the pryin' what exactly did he do? While he was alive that is." He raised the wine to drain off the last few drags but abruptly stopped short. After a moments thought, and with no other explanation, he jammed the cork back on, drew his arm back and hurled it off the side of the ship. The bottle sailed end over end, briefly glimmering where the moon had started to break through the dissipating clouds. It landed in the water with a soft plunk.

"For Ghil."

Catching the last of the conversation, Diocles tossed the key to Alrik.

"She's secure. Will we let this thing sort her out? Or will we head back with three demons?"

Ulrin watched the man chuck the bottle into the water. It brought a bit of a smirk to his lips. Ghil would have done the same for any of them he was sure. Even if he and Sulahn'nehn were not avid drinkers. "Theadrin... When he was a live he used blood magic on Sulahn'nehn and I on separate occasions. He forced us each to do things we did not desire. For me, it was drinking from the cup that made me a Grey Warden. For her, it was a nightmarish ordeal in the Fade. She never gave me the full details. But I received the brunt of her rage over the night she had to spend training with him."

He took a deep breath and shook his head, "And for Diocles to ask her to use that magic, it's unforgivable. What Theadrin did to us, is unforgivable. Even if they feel that what Sulahn'nehn has done is wrong, for us, what we were made to endure was wrong. But they do not see it that way. And they never will."

"Well maybe with the whole walkin' corpse thing, your commanders will put you under someone else. There must be other units and groups within the wardens." He shrugged his shoulders indicating an educated guess. "It seems their plan to trial the lass, though if their only witness is the deceased and possessed... ahh, makes my head spin just trying to puzzle past it." 'Well that or the wine.' "But I think it's about time I retire for the night." Jarrik moved towards the darkened ladder that led below deck, but he lingered on the top rung.

"If they mean to post you to watch the whole night wake me for the second shift and I'll take over. Nehn era." Using his crude understanding of elvish to wish Ulrin something approximately a good night.

Whatever Jarrik was attempting to say to Ulrin was lost on him. It seemed like the Rivaini was trying to tell him something was worth expressing joy over, but he could barely understand the human's drunken elvish. So he just nodded to him, with a confused look.

He then looked back out over the waters. Fetching him for a second watch was not a bad idea. He was sure Alrik hadn't thought that far ahead, nor would the barbarian come relieve him of his post. And he was not going to speak to Diocles about it. If he could help it he would never speak to the archer outside of combat ever again. And Sulahn'nehn, she was for now out of reach for him. He hung his head and rubbed the side of his temple regretting taking a drink from the bottle.

"...Ghil, I wish you were here. I have much to ask, and no one to ask it of..."

Alrik tucked the key away, nodding. "Not sure. Would rather wait, but... maybe is unsafe to let demons remain so long."

He looked at Fidelity, obviously expecting guidance.

"If you would prefer that I exorcise her demons, I must oblige. It is the only course of action if she is to remain of use as a Grey Warden. However, I sense no lyrium aboard the vessel and I doubt there is a life to spare with the crew's number lessened so greatly. It will need to wait, until she sleeps. I hope this will be acceptable."

Fidelity wouldn't be needing the key to reach Sulahn'nehn in the Fade, nor even to stand in the same room, so it stood silently in the corridor in wait. The state of the corpse and the demeanor of the spirit made the scene very unnerving.

After laying awake for some time and dwelling on recent events, the elf finally slipped away to the Fade. While others would likely see Darkspawn marching and horrors, Sloth spun her a peaceful illusion to ease the troubled mind of his host.

Sulahn'nehn sat at a large table, a feast stretched out on it. Her comrades ate, drank, and danced to lively music. What took her attention not of the food, or the singing, or the lover at her side, but the woman in a crowd winning a contest of strength. Ghil was alive and well, beckoning her over to watch her triumph over the 'scrawny' men.

Fidelity found her when it was time. Even without the elaborate backdrop, the auras of the two demons that shared her body were too concentrated not to notice. It saw the dream, walked through it as though it was ay other room, but it did not belong there. It glowed like moonlight, easily a head above even a giantess like Ghil, broad of shoulder and wrapped in a cowled robe. It turned, and was suddenly at her side at the table, watching the proceedings.

"I see. Yes, I am sure it is very soothing. However, that one," it gestured loosely to the illusion of Ghil, easily throwing a man forward over her shoulder to the applause of the others, "is dead. Surely it does more harm than good to delude oneself."

Sulahn'nehn was caught mid applause by the spirit. Her clapping slowed and her face slowly formed a frown, it was invading her private space. The voice was familiar, though there in the Fade, it sounded like it simply belonged there. The scene continued to play itself out as she turned her head to Fidelity.

"I-...I know. Is it so wrong to want just a few brief moments of happiness in all this chaos?"

The voice of her friend called to her again, continuing to wave her over. "Soola!"

"You know why it is wrong. You know these things have no home in you if you wish to survive, to help your allies survive."

It peered around the false room, seeing through it to where the demons loomed silently. It fixed its gaze on them with purpose.

"You must be rid of them now. There is a duty one has to the present. There must be a Fidelity to the truth."

She cast her eyes downward in thought, just for a moment she considered listening to Fidelity and every head in the room turned towards her, eerily continuing on with the dream. "I want to help them. I do. But... How can I? I was not able to help her. I failed her. What if I fail them too?"

The Diocles in her mind stood from the table and persuaded her to come dance with him. Her Ghil walked to her, reaching out to take her away. Both had underlying aggressiveness in their actions and words.

"Did you fail that one? I do not know." The spirit sat at the table, across from the elven girl. It was patient, still; its hands folded on the surface of the table. "Tell me. Was it you, your hand? Was it your thoughts?"

"I don-", the paused, confusion washing over her face. A legitimate question. For a long while Sulahn'nehn pondered it. It was her hand, but had she really controlled it. "I...I am unsure. I had many thoughts of him falling in battle, someone else doing the deed. But then, it was all I could think of. I had to be the one. I needed to be the one to save them from him. He was dangerous. I truly believed he would lead us to our deaths." A few seconds passed as she glanced over the scene that stopped playing. "I did not find anything strange until I thought...I thought to use blood magic. To be honest, I am not sure which thoughts were mind and which were..."

She trailed off, looking at the festivities slowly fading away.

The spirit didn't turn, but it could feel the gazes of its brethren on its back.

"I know: the last time you bent yourself to the greater good was when Thaedrin Davinius forced the act upon you. This time, you must do it on your own. You must discard your demons, or I will kill you as you sleep." It stood, and waited for her to make her decision. "I hope that you understand. You are too volatile otherwise."
