What was the first game that made you realize that games can be bad ?

For me I think Its "fade to black" on PS1.

*EDIT* with all the quotes flying at me It seems my hate is well placed.
What was I thinking buying this game ...

The first game that I REALLY HATED was fucking Gothic 4.

God damn it, that was such a god damn disappointing, dumbed-down piece of shit. (If it's really necessary: In my opinion, geeze.)

The first game that made me realise that games can be bad however..

Hmm.. I have no idea. Never really thought about it and most of the games that I've bought have been good. Some of the most hyped ones have been the worst ones, I recall. Like Bioshock and the Mass Effect series.

Edit: I remember now, I think Counter-Strike is my first memory of not liking a game that much. However, being the heretic that I am, I do like Counter-Strike: Source.

Red Ninja : End Of Honour.

Serves me right for buying a game just because of the lead character's sexy Kimono.

Probably Sonic 06. When I first bought it, I expected an experience similar to what I had from the Sonic Adventure titles. Unfortunately though, the game didn't provide me with that and instead ruined everything that I found fun and likeable in the Sonic games and added some new stuff that I absolutely hated. An example being Silver the Hedgehog. Fuck that guy, seriously.

I don't think I actually "hated" any games until I was 19 and started working in Quality Assurance.

If I don't like something I generally just put it aside and promptly forget about it.

But when I started working in QA... I had to play a bunch of games I usually disliked for at least 8 hours a day every day, and the amount of overtime you do is pretty absurd.

I still don't really hate anything, just a lot of games i'd rather not play because I wouldn't enjoy myself.

I always knew games could be bad...

The first bad one I played?

Some Genesis racing game, iirc.

Hate is a pretty strong word. I don't particularly hate any one game even if it's bad, but I have disliked quite a few of them.

The first one I probably disliked because I never finished it due to its difficulty was Battletoads, though.

I've played plenty of good games, but the first one I REEAAAALLY hate was the next-gen Sonic the Hedgehog... The controls is horrible, there's unforgivable glitches, and the loading times took forever!
Get to objective
*loading screen*
Watch cutscene
*loading screen*
Play then die because of controls
*loading screen*
cutscene
*loading screen*

Sure, the graphics look good, but...

Virtua Fighter, thank God I played it at an arcade and didn't actually pay for that piece of shit.

I didn't like that game either, when I saw advertised I thought it might be a decent game, and I was wrong.

You lose points for not mentioning the Mach-speed sections.

Me? I had a bunch of bargain-bin Movie games on the PS1. Independance Day, Fifth Element, and so on.

It was either Starcraft (although I'm having trouble remembering back that far, suffice it to say that I quickly grew tired of mining more minerals and spamming certain units) or X3: Reunion.

Both of those games lured me in with promises of delight and interesting ideas but then shut me down with steep learning curves, repetitive gameplay and just generally eating my free time without giving me enough joy to compensate the loss.

Seriously, MW2. I never hate on a game for being less than stellar. MW2 was different. Everyone loved it to death yet I couldn't play it because it was so glitchy and unbalanced. Flat out broken. BO continues this trend.

Oh God, how could I forget?? Every time you jump, you can't just move in the air, you are fixed in one position. After that part in that hellish city place, I just gave up.
