I was playing a racing game on my Genesis the other day! D:

And if you were wondering, I was just making sure my Genesis still worked and picked the first game I saw. <.< In which it still does!

EDIT: I really hated the next-gen Sonic games.

The first game I can remember really despising, is Barbie Explorer for the PS1. It was for my little sister, and ordinarily I would have no intention of playing such a terrible game. Unfortunately my sister was too young to be able to play the game properly, but not too young to get our parents to force me to complete the parts she couldn't do for her, which were of course: all of them.

I have never experienced a game that bad since, but that may be because I have never been forced to play though the entirety of a game I didn't want to since then.

The first game I genuinely "hated" as opposed to "disliked" was Shadow the Hedgehog. While not as bad as 06, at the time it was the worst Sonic game ever made. And it showed.

Up until recently I've never really hated a game, I've not liked some, but never hated. But when I played Two Worlds 2 I just couldn't find it in me not to hate that steaming pile of crap.

OT: I'm not sure. Probably something on the PS1 that I've blotted out of my memory in the ensuing decade. However Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust is the only game that has ever made me want to hunt down the developers and bludgeon them to death with the game box.

Really? I thought it was an MMO without the drawback of interacting with the kind of mouthbreathers who make up 90% of the usual MMO userbase. Then again I didn't really like FFX much so to each their own

I don't think I've ever really hated a game, it takes something like the Twilight novels or the Chronicles of Gor levels of offensiveness to really make me feel that strongly but I do remember being very pissed off thinking "oh I really liked Half Life 2 on my pc, I think I'll pick up a cheap PS3 version and have even more fun" then finding out the port was apparently done by a staff of untrained monkeys.

I didn't have may games at my disposal, when I got my PS in '99 I got Tekken 3 with it, so it was lots of fun, and I was pretty good at it, and then came my older sister, all PMS for some reason, and said, that she wants to blow off some steam, so I told, that we should play some tekken vs mode. So I beat her, again and again, in the end, she punched me in the bollocks, for not letting her win... Good times...

Pac Man. Because I sucked royally at it, and I failed to see what all the fuss was about. Frogger was definitely a better game.

I have very few games that I really hate but the one game that has dived deepest into the bottomless ocean of vomit and wank is probably Psychonauts.

And the reason for this was that I was 11 or 12 years old and I had an older brother who constantly went on about how it would be the perfect game for me for 2 months

Probably not the frst game i ever hated but the one game that comes to mind is The darkness. What really pissed me off about it was how many people liked dispite its horrid gameplay and sense of pacing.

Frogger: the great quest for the PS2 (also my first ps2 title) made me what to scratch my own eyes out from frustration.
