That looks awesome. The original Avatar is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen - only Babylon 5 had as tightly wound a story - and if the story lives up to that legacy, we're in for another treat. I always thought the fighting was just drop-dead gorgeous in the original, and that certainly hasn't changed.

And, I'm officially psyched about an upcoming kids' show for the first time since I was 9. I was initially skeptical about why everyone liked the first one, finally got around to seeing it, and was blown away. This one can't come out soon enough :)

Truth. TV producers need to watch that show and take notes.

Oh man, do want do want do want!

Took them long enough to do anything about this though, I've been waiting for a looong time. Avatar is honestly one of the few modern cartoons that are truly enjoyable; I loved it way more than I feel I should have.

I'm actually not all that impressed. While I get that it happens many years after the original Avatar show, I would have rather seen the same basic look. I liked the fact that the four kingdoms had very different styles, both in dress, and how their cities looked. I'm sure it will still be great, and I'm sure I will enjoy it, but as of now, I'm not wild about how the show looks.

Good god, this looks incredible! In sheer awesome it may even be able to top the original series!

There's just one problem I have though...

FUCK YOU! It's called AVATAR, not THE LAST FUCKING AIRBENDER! AANG was the "Last Airbender" and the series isn't about him any more. FUCK the James Cameron movie DOUBLE FUCK the M. Night Shyamalan movie- this was Avatar FIRST!

Ah, but maybe there is a hidden meaning to that. Most people know by now, that Aang's son Tenzin is now the only remaining Airbender after Aang died. Tenzin will be tagging along with Korra.

The Last Airbender (Tenzin) + The Legend of Korra.

I don't know, maybe there is more to it. Just being optimistic.

As for the topic at hand. That's it, my year is made.

Like I kind of said above, from what I hear it's going to be about Korra trying to bring back the world we knew and loved in the first series.

Don't know where you got that. It sounds to me like the primary plot will be Korra dealing with an anti-bender revolutionary group and learning airbending. Speaking of which, isn't it clever how they are doing this?

Book 1: Aang learns Water-bending
Book 2: Aang Learns Earth-bending
Book 3: Aang learns Fire-bending
LoK (Book 4): Korra learns Air-bending.

I'm really excited to finally see how air-bending is taught and learned. We didn't see much of it in the original series.

Yeah. Anti-bending=opposite of what we loved in the first series, no?

While I'm still hella excited for Skyrim, I was more excited for Oblivion. That's probably because at that point in time, I was playing the bundle of fun and lies that is Fable.

I've watched this trailer three times today.

I've also had to change my pants three times today.

Related? I'll let you decide.

I approve.

When they said they were putting it during a later setting, I didn't think they would actually be placing it that far in the future.

Suppose it's neccesary though.

No, but there is an appropriate youtube video.
