Ah yes I remember stumbling upon that site years ago. They claim all space photographs have been created artificially, that the International Space Station is a hoax and many other obtuse things. Like others have said I am sure trolls amount for a good percent of the population. Something tells me at least a few hundred or thousand concurrent users truly believe.

When wind turbines were put up where I used to live a huge uproar happened which is still going to this day. One man claimed he couldn't drive past them on his way home from work without throwing up. I'm sure this man does have health problems, and windmills are contributing, but not in the way he thinks they are.
I really dislike people like that. They were/are going to do that around where I live, and all I saw were signs saying "it destroys the natural beauty" No. No it doesn't. I'd rather have windmills (which are actually pretty in their own way) than some giant factory or whatever.

I once found a tumblr blog (It has since been removed but archives exist) about "Intelligent privilege." The gist of "This is Intelligent Privilege" is that there is an elite class of people in the "Neurotriarchy" (I suppose a combination of "kyriarchy" and "neurological") that uses their intellect unfairly to both 1.) oppress "Neuroregressives" and 2.) use their intelligent privilege to enforce a fascist society of things like grammar and logic (apparently, being forced to follow the "intscum's grammar" is oppressive) by labeling those who refuse to follow the "intscum fascism" as being stupid. The neurotriarchy ("intscum shitlords") also tries to prevent people from using alcohol and drugs, because the death of brain cells caused by alcohol and drug overuse is the only way for a person to lose their intelligent privilege and become "Trans-neuroregressive". Apparently, there will be a "revolution" at some point in the future in which the neuroregressives and transneuroreggressives will rise up against the neurotriarchy and force them to take drugs and alcohol until they no longer have intelligent privilege either. Or kill them. Also you have to use personal pronouns on the blog and carefully mind the blog-runner's triggers which include everything from not using proper pronouns to pointing out that maybe she is being a little too hostile, of course, the multi-paragraph rants about how the "Intscum" should be properly tortured and executed (which included beheading, drawing and quartering, and flaying) did not in any way faze or "trigger" her. Men, "cishets", and "intscum" exist only to rape and oppress "womyn" (with a y, not an e, because revolution or something) and the neuroregressives.

My post on the page about how she was writing this with a computer on the internet, the culmination of years of work by scientists and engineers, and also pointing out that for all her talk about rebellion against the "neurotriarchy's grammar" he own grammar was actually remarkably good, apparently triggered her. If only I had screencapped the multiple-page rant I got in return! (Basically I'm a rapist cishet intscum and I should kill myself for "mentally raping and murdering" [???] neuroreggressives).

Well, actually I say "her" only because of a picture on the blog, but I should be saying "Them", not because "them" is neutral (the common reason by social justice warriors) but rather because she is not just one person but a "multi-persona collective being" which I suppose I should take to mean that she somehow is more than one person at once...IDK.

But basically, the internet is full of crazy people and morons, and that's never going to change. They're a minority, but in the end it's kind of a good thing, because it shows just how powerful the internet is at giving everyone a voice...even if you choose to use that voice to say that the Earth is flat.
That's hilarious! Do you have a link?
The blog itself no longer exists. However, I have a few links to archived snapshots of it:

http://archive.is/thisisintelligentprivilege.tumblr.com

I'm actually extremely disappointed that the blog no longer exists. These few pages do not do the sheer batshit insanity (oops, did I just offend her neurotype?) of this blog sufficient justice and some of the more hilarious rants haven't been included.
It was better than I expected! I especially love how some people put sarcastic comments in and the others didn't even notice.

I think they also claim that gravity doesn't exist, and that the disk we live on is actually accelerating upward at 9.8m/s^2, which is what makes the illusion of gravity. I am not sure where we are going or how we are being accelerated (laws of motion) but darn it, there you go. It is a crazy site, but it is painful to read.

It's incredible just how detailed their beliefs are. I spent a good couple hours on that site the first time I found them. I remember the crowning moment in my perusal being someone describing a theory about how the earth actually extended infinitely outward and got increasingly colder the farther you went out making travel there impossible. The flat earther told him just how ridiculous this view was, it was too far fetched.

Reminds me of some of the Otherkin pages I've seen: http://www.fairiesvampires.com/group/realmforfairies/forum/topics/im-a-fairy-i-think-what-now

Top of page 2 is just grand. People who believe that they're fairies shouldn't criticize each other for being ridiculous
[sub]Although "My friend is an Elite Vampire"? Even if I DID believe this I wouldn't buy that[/sub]

They have been around for a few years now as far as I'm aware. It does boggle my mind as well. I'd like to think that many of them are just trolling. I would really like to. It seems a pretty crazy site, but hey, whatever makes them happy I guess, they seem harmless.

Oh man. I was hooked on that site for a few weeks about 6-7 years ago. So much time wasted in pointless arguments with those people. If anyone is thinking about doing this, please take my advice and just don't. Any evidence you have for a round earth is quickly dismissed as part of the conspiracy. All pictures of earth's curvature are photoshops etc. I find it all incredibly frustrating.
