As I see more and more games coming out I am starting to notice a trend happening: Ever since Doom it seems that the FPS is over shadowing everything coming out lately with the exception of a few games like Portal (which I guess still is kind of a Puzzle/FPS game) and Socom (a third person shooter) and so many companies are too scared to release anything different from fear that it won't do well releasing with games like Homefront or Brink and I was just wondering if anyone else kinda wants this to end so that companies can start releasing better more complex games and still have a Call of Duty from time to time or are you just fine with everything the way it is?
(PS. Take some time one day and see how many new releases are coming out see how many fps's there are and then look at the non-FPS and see if you've heard of them.... Just thought that was interesting to me.)
