When I saw this, I thought that gaming won't be any interesting or fun for me in the future.
No, don't get me wrong. I love working together with people to accomplish something big in a game. One problem.
The number of serious gamers in the world is one in a million.

Allow me to explain: games like Left 4 Dead, World of Warcraft, Dawn of War II, Call of Duty 4, .... all require serious teammates in order to achieve victory. That is why I HATE all of the above titles because the "welcoming party" are a bunch of 12-year old, snail brained immature KIDS who will immediatly brand you a noob if you like a title they don't (example of their stupidity).

I have looked around for months in games like L4D, WoW and DoWII but it is so hard to find serious people to play with. In WoW it is impossible to achieve ANYTHING without a serious party. In L4D when you run around like a chicken without a head you (AND THE REST OF YOUR GROUP) will die in a breeze. And in DoWII, .. well, same as L4D.

So, when I push the panic button for the future of gaming if developers remove the single-player campaign and release nothing else than co-op (or multiplayer) games, or games that require a team, many gamers (including myself) will most probably stick with very old games or find a diffrent hobby, leaving a bunch a brainless retards roam the gaming lands.

This isn't a thread about: "Whats your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag?". No. I want to ask you your thoughts about this. I think it's very disturbing and I really hope I'm very wrong about the future of gaming.

P.S. A short while ago some twat found it necessary to say that: "I think too much". Again, give USEFUL comments, please.

I couldn't be bothered to watch the video, but just from your summary I hope to Christ it's wrong. I've always preferred single player games, and all but ignore the multiplayer aspect (unless I'm playing LAN with friends. If the entirity of gaming switched to multiplayer I think I'd abandon modern games permanently.

sure, Xbox live and PSN is inhabited by retards, but there are still good people there, just make them your friends, you don't really need to like them or anything, you just need to know that those people play seriously.

on another note, there will always be single player games, because some people do not have a internet connection to a console.

I don't really think developers care about their gamers.. I think they care more about what fills they're pockets. Blizzard and Activision know what fills they're (or there (I'm a foreigner)) pockets. And, seriously, who doesn't have an internet connection now. I still know there are ppl without an internet connection -I'm not stupid- but I think developers will run over the town that makes the most money (multiplayer).
I do agree with what you said above.

I've found plenty of serious gamers in L4D on PC.

And I REALLY doubt singleplayer games will die out.

I wouldn't buy very many new games if single player disappeared. My main gaming staples are Online FPS and Single player RPG, and RTS now and then. But I can honestly say my time is most often enjoyed in the RPGs as I can craft my own experience without interference from dipshits online.

The games market used to be tiny, so the developers really had to aim to please.

Yeah, I really love a good single player campaign every now and then, no matter what genre.

One word of advice. DON'T WATCH THE BONUS ROUND.

It's usually filled with morons who think they speak for all the gamers out there.

But I am affraid that the single-player experience as we know it will disapear. Except maybe for RPG's.

Well, I don't watch that show a lot. But the title and summary made me watch it now.
Yeah, It'll take a little longer for single player RPG's to dissapear. I know a person who's gonna be really pissed then xD.

Do not worry!

In the future, I will be a game designer, and once Im into the idustry, games like Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Fallout 3, Dead Space, <insert more 1-player games with great story and gameplay here> will be made!

Or I'll blow up the White House, so they'll have to give into my demands.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA -*cough cough*- HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'll have to agree, the main reason why I quit playing Left 4 Dead is because every are, as you said, "snail brained 12 year-olds".
