Undoubtably, the first half of 2009 has seen some big names hit the shelves; with Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Red Faction and the like laying down the gauntlet for games of the latter half of the year. Sports fans will revel in the blood, sweat and tears shed in Fight Night Round 4, Racing fanatics pounding the asphalt tracks and conquering the Nurburgring and, quite obviously, the millions of expectant fans anticipating the follow up to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, a game that revolutionised online FPS. Or does the best game of 2009 lie elsewhere? Fat Princess will be arriving shortly on the PSN; a game predicted to re-invent the way we view downloadable games. Perhaps it is not the year of the Playstation or Xbox. The Nintendo Wii, a giant in the gaming industry worldwide, has seen remarkable sales of top titles; more affordable than it's current generation consoles, is value for money what we seek most during this recession? The more niche markets, PC/Mac gamers, may also want a shout for some of their new releases.
