Same, or Ocarina of Time. Both underrated games.
You don't read many gaming magazings/websites or talk to gamers much, do you?

Either Wolfenstein 3D or the original Prince of Persia.

Although Kings Quest 5 (EGA edition) will always have a place in my heart.
Ah, I was a young nooblet at the time of those. I used to watch my brother play em though. Prince of persia was impossible. If I managed to get the sword I would just get stabbed by the first bad guy that comes along.

Jazz Jackrabbit, or scorch, would probably be mine.

Im sorry, was that a shot? Cause it sounded like this was an opinion and personal experience based thread. So I'm sorry if I dont let gamer magazines tell me what the game of my childhood was.

Mega Man 2. I rented that game twice, cleared it, and THEN bought it. That's how much I loved it. I killed many a recess discussing that game... good times. They haven't made a Mega Man game to equal it, though at least the series overall remained good [I'm pretending Battle Network doesn't exist here]

What game if any, is the game that most reminds you of your youth.

mine a toss up between Ace combat 3 electrosphere, Worms Armageddon or a bit later, Halo: Combat Evolved
Way to make me feel old, thanks!

I played Pong in my grandparent's basement when I was really young, that was my first video game. Later I moved onto the true classics like Pac-Man and Pitfall. But if I had to pick just one game that reminded me of my childhood, it would have to be Spy Hunter....

I'm yet to find someone old enough to have played them who doesn't think they were awsome. There was a poll on this sight a few weeks ago where people voted on there favorite game of all time, and unless I remember wrongly (I probably do) LoZ:OoT won.
As for super mario 64, they remade it into a DS game. Why in gods name would they do that to a game unless it was obscenely popular. It just seemed like an incredibly odd comment, that's all.

Virtua Cop for the Sega Satern (with the laser pistols) and Crash Bandicoot(any of them) for the ps1. They pretty much defined my early childhood.
