Smash Bros. Only lost against one dude- and, soon, I shall defeat him.

smash bros, i've only ever met one person, in my league
Maybe in brawl, but you wont be able to take me down in Super Smash Bros and Super Smash Bros Melee ;)
I remember back then, I was permabanned from playing as Fox in SSB =(

I also generally play as Zelda (That's Zelda, not Sheik) in SSBB to mix it up, and to get people to agree to play. ^.^

Not me, but my brother absolutely dominated Braid... he even managed to cheat the game! He made me make a video.

not anymore but I was ranked number 1 damage worldwide on some bogus ass fan stat site for Global Agenda, which resulted in other robos copying me, and eventually to me quitting.

And Battlefield 1942 I could still reinstall, assuming people still play, and not have any rust, get whined at/accused of hacking and eventually grow bored of it.

The moral of the story: It sucks being the best. it's more fun getting to that point, than being there, if that makes sense.
I absolutely agree. However, once you do get there, the sense of achievement is uncomprehendable. And plus, isn't it a complement to get accused of hacking when you're playing normally? :)
For maybe a split second it can be taken as flattery or a compliment, but then it blows out of proportion into an unwinnable, cyclical argument. And after all that ends (if it does), usually one side gives in to just plain in-game rage, and possibly out-of-game as well, depending on their temper. I've had people switch teams to attempt teamkills and I'm forced to tk them just to survive. What am I gonna do? There's never been a good outcome to anyone being accused of hacking that I've seen. If you've seen something good come of it, please enlighten me. Because it's usually crap and one of the "greatest" things about online gaming.
I guess ultimately like you said, being number one is a sort of curse. Have you attended any tourneys for BF1942 local or otherwise? By the sounds of it, you shouldve, then that way you can publically prove to people you pwn.

Final Fantasy Tactics
Romance of the Three Kingdoms VII
Vandal Hearts 2
NHL 99 (N64)

Dawn of War (Any of the first expansions / original game). When I play as the Imperial Guard I'm just somehow unstoppable. Any obstacle that would've stopped me with any other race just gets steamrolled into the dirt. And the opposite: I monumentally suck at playing as Orks.

I dominate reasonably well, I find, at most Pokemon games. Even the increased difficulty hacks.

Killer teams ftw

I had a 45 killstreak on KillZone 2 the other day before my broadband dropped so the servers didn't update, therefore my awesome-ness has not been recorded for the world to see.

I fucking hate dropped connections, always happens when I'm being EPIC.

Battle field heroes and most of the total war series. Napoleon especially.
Total war are my favourite strategy games I have ever played and I havent found any other to distract me yet since warcraft 3.
And battlefield heroes makes cool sounds when you shoot stuff!! I can pretty much mop up as a sniper, probably because most of the other players are 10 or 11.

So OP, did you capitalize "The Game" in the thread title deliberately?

Anyway, I'd have to say Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, since I played it so much.
