I started with a SNES playing Donkey Kong and Super Empire Strikes Back. Though I attribute the 'real' start of my gaming to Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear. I made my first mod for RS and it was my first online gaming experience with a clan type of community.

Starfox 64, Super smash bros and Goldeneye are a couple of N64 games that got me hooked on gaming. But it was Sega Genises, with an attack helicopter game, and the SNES that introduced me. I had a three pack SNES game with Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt and Track and Field on it.

The Medal of Honor, right up until I denied Rising Sun's existence. It just didn't stand up to Frontline or the first two on the old PS1.

It has to be Elite and Repton for me. While I was awesome at the former (except for manual docking, of course) I sucked at the latter.

Damn, sometimes I wish I still had my old Archemedes just so I could play those games again.

Hmmm wow was that a long time ago...I think the first game I ever played was the original Prince of Persia and return to castle wolfenstein when I was about 4/5 years old, I remember sitting on my dad lap and helping him play then XD Then I played my dads old Atari 2600 and played space invaders and stuff, that was fun, then I moved on to the Nes, SNes, Playstation PS2 and finally the PS3.

Yup I switched from an Nintendo girl to a Sony Fan XD I'm afraid its Final Fantasy 7 that helped me make the switch form Nintendo to Sony XD

Don't get me wrong I don't mind the Wii Or the X-360 (Though i refuse to play the X-box 360. period not that there's anythign wrong with it other then the RROD) but non of the games interest me and the PS3 has a cool library of games now.

Started out with Pokemon yellow on Game Boy Colour then went to Age of Empires on PC and went on from there. Though when I was five or so the demo games on our Windows 95 computer was what got me interested in computer games.

I grew up with a Genesis so anything that came out for that was holding my attention for some time. But Duke Nukem 3D was the first game I ever played to death and still love to play once in a while. You could say I'll play it...forever.

Pokemon Blue on the Gameboy.
Tekken 3 and Final Fantasies VII and IX on the PS1.
Banjo and Kazooie on the N64.

I love those games man.

the old gameboy (but I got the gameboy pocket) so I guess I just got lucky even though it was a time I had no idea WTF to do, then I started off on the Original Playstation, then a N64 but only at my cousin and friends house.

Thats how I ended up with the PS2 and the wii.

A number of games:
Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64) (1997) - This game is probably the most fun I had in my childhood.
The game was pure genius and I remember every level clearly.
Final Fantasy VII (1997) - This introduced me to RPGs and the FF series, I didn't really play many games until these first two and I was a quite sporty and atheletic person until then :S
SNES Games in general - Probably some of the funnest games I played in my years and the first I played.

The first game I really got into was one of the Sonic the hedgehog games, I can't remember which one. My moms friends were getting rid of their Mega Drive and gave me it. I'd get up early to play it before school ^.^ And then play it when I got it. And then I got Spyro gateway to glimmer and I was a gamer from then on :D

Even though it was around '95, I started playing my grandparents NES very casually. Eventually, I played Civilization II, Starcraft, and The Neverhood, which turned gaming into my main hobby.
Your grandparents sound awesome - I only remember my grandfather having porn and popsicles out when we went to visit him :) Anyway, though I played my share of the NES the games that probably hooked me into the medium the most were the early 90s LucasArts adventure games, like Day of the Tentacle and The Dig.

I started off on the Sega Mega Drive - so Sonic 1 & 2. Then Pokemon Blue and Gold for the Gameboy Colour. I didn't really start gaming regularly until the good ol' Gameboy days.
It started in earnest when I got the PS1 for a birthday. I got hooked on Tekken 2. The Crash Bandicoot series (up until number 3), the FIFA football series (I was a kid!) and GTA2...

then just too many to keep track of...
[small](Just realised that that's more like an evolutionary scale instead of one particular game...)[/small]

Started with Chrono Trigger, The Lost Vikings, Rock n Roll Racing, and the old Mario and Yoshi's Island games for SNES. Still play them all because they're awesome.
Could never get the hang of Metroid though.
