Don't know the game? Good for you!

DEAR GOD!

This could have been really entertaining...
Then suddenly I get the review copy in my mailbox.
All that potential, blown to smithereens so tiny even an elektron would be jealous of it...

Just, redo it, or give the developers an extra year (or two) to work on it.
It could have been something, really...

Mercs 2. I liked that game but it needed alot of fixes. Like better accuracy, vehicles not being floaty but not GTA 4 uncontrollable, and not crappy dialouge.

Funny you should say that... I rented the game yesterday and I'm about to return it.
What a complete failure. It sounded and looked to be so much fun, and then I got to see once again what the term 'wasted potential' really means. =(

Mirror's Edge would be infinitely better if it were more open world in individual levels, like in Battlefield: Bad Company. Only having one route makes the game less challenging and less of an achievement to complete.

Eh? Am I right?

Prototype - Better controls
Skate 2 - Better off board movement

Battlefront 2 was cancelled :( I loved the first one, the second one not so much.

I'd improve the spelling and grammar game. Your post gives a good enough example.
There's no issue with his grammar. How can you take issue with something that doesn't exist?

As for the topic:
[HEADING=1]BattleField 2.[/HEADING]
Really, come on now. That game was amazing. All it really needs is a graphics update and some balancing. It's one of the few games where I'd accept very few additions.

And PLEASE design it for PC, then port it. It just makes it so much better.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Repbulic II.

Glitchy as hell, but then it was only half finished when they released it. A finished version would be nice.
I'm sure you know this but the fans have patched that game and re-inserted a lot of "lost" content. I'm going to check it out when I do my big star wars replay. I'm not sure the site but that's why god invented google. (that and he wanted to collect our browser history)

Skies of Arcadia = sequal. Only thing it needs, well maybe voice actors and updated graphics.
Good call. :)

I'd improve the look of gta4. The blown out oversaturated sunbursts and blackest of black nightshadows would find a happy medium. And pretty much overhaul the engine and rendering of the game. Come on rockstar it's not like you don't have the money. Better get that shit right by the time red dead redemption comes out or i will be very VERY angry. >.<

Half Life - I'd only make it a tad bit easier and improve the graphics.

Both Perfect Darks - Ok, don't really remember the first one so much, but I'd update the graphics and probably change the control scheme (only putting this because the N64 controller sucks balls.). The prequel...tweak the graphics, improve the voice acting, give the story a bit of polish.

Assassin's Creed: Make it less repetitive and vary things more than "Go here, kill that guy, go back and talk to the guy with the beard.". And I would definitely put in co-op!
What did you think assassins did?
No, I meant like stuff to do in between the missions so people don't get bored as easily since that's one of the things that appear to be complained about the most.

Pro Evolution Soccer Management: Make the AI better. MUCH BETTER.
Lego Racers 2: Make the handling better and less frustrating, also a better Editor
F1 Manager: Put in all the stuff the developers left out. ie rain, crashes, excitement.

Superman Returns. More freedom, the ability to turn into Clark, more variety in the city, better sense of scale, more variety of combat, enemies and uses of powers. Dammit I just want a decent Superman game!

Fable 2: armour, longer story, more weapon choice's, bring back obsidian weapons, no more having to find a weapon that alows augments, smoother dialog, better bonus' for having a spouse, characters you could actulay like, much much MUCH more spell varity, stop the bullsh*t three button controll thing, bigger SINGLE world map (not a world broken into tiny little bits) and... actualy, you know what? if lionhead just fired; Peter "they're really connecting!" (mother f*cking) Moleneax, I wouldn't have to wish for these things 'cos Lionhead never would have had these things removed!

EDIT: Why do i still play fable(F*cking)2!?
Took the words out of my mouth.

Far Cry 2: somehow make the combat less repetitive, put the diamonds in places that I can escape without goddamn INCAPPING myself, and put more bus stops around. It's so frustrating to walk everywhere (driving speeds things up a bit but I don't like driving right into a checkpoint so I have to switch vehicles constantly, and there aren't vehicles everywhere).
Left 4 Dead: eliminate L4D2, add more maps, and improve the AI (I've literally had the AI follow me off rooftops until we all were incapped).
Okami: in Okami, you fight the EXACT SAME BOSS FIGHT THREE TIMES. Same monster, same way to beat it, same everything. I would either eliminate two of these fights or change them up so the boss monster got tougher. Apart from that, Okami holds no challenge whatsoever - the whole game they just tell you what to do. There's no mystery to it. I would make the game less direct.
Splinter Cell: the whole series turned from a stealth game into a "GO INTO THIS ROOM AND SHOOT EVERYTHING!" game. I would pretty much eliminate Double Agent, but I guess Chaos Theory can live.. For now.

6)Star Wars The Force Unleashed
should have been scrapped and Jedi Knight 4 should have been made.
... Sir, you have just won the internet. Proceed to Al Gore to collect your winnings and use your newfound internet wealth to make JK4... Or a SW game in which you play a non jedi hero (though if you just remake Bounty Hunter then so help me god I'm going to revoke your prize and feed you to the sarlac).
