Move north. Most bugs don't do well in cold, while humans are perfectly capable of adapting to it.
I beleive you are wrong. bugs are the most adaptable creatures on earth.
Behold, the under water sea spider, survives in very cold temperatures.

My shopping list for a bugpocalypse:

Tanks. Lots of tanks.
Napalm.
Anti-material sniper rifle with depleted uranium bullets. And 100 crates of bullets.
Something smelling incredibly pungent - to confuse their sense of smell.

Considering I don't have the millions to buy the aforementioned items, the list turns to this:

Largest gasoline-driven woodcutting saw I can get my hands on. And 10 litres of gasoline.
Sledgehammer.
Molotov cocktails.
Bag of chips and a soda.

Insects are cold blooded, nor am I familiar with arachnids that could live in the same temperature.

Certain arthropods maybe, but those are also sea based.

We should create an artifically intelligent defense system to create robots that could terminate all of the giant bugs. Nothing could possibly backfire with this plan!

Tyranids, Zerg, monsters from Dead Space...
You'd certainly "join" the Tyranids.

Digestive juices would be involved, of course.

I wouldn't. I would just kill myself. Zombies, robots, raptors i can handle. But giant bugs is just too much for me

I would probaly do what everyone else is doing stock up on raid, I'd then fill a massive container like a shipping crate with all the collected raid, place it at the top of a hill and lure the bugs to it. Bugs are generally attracted to any kind of food so it wouldn't be to hard. Then I'd just release the raid and kill all the bugs coming up the hill.

I'm not too sqeumish about bugs its gastropods (slugs and snails) that creep me out so if they were involved I'd probaly just kill myself. Luckilly a Giant Snail appocalypse is not likely.

I'd use a can of compressed air and a lighter to take 'em on.... I'm just that hardcore.

I would shoot myself. End of story, no epic last stand, no survival plan, immediate death.
No weapons?

Me, I'd be sure to get a vehicle. I would then drive it off a cliff. If this is not possible, I shall jump. If this is not possible, cyanide. If this is not possible... Something.

I'm arachnophobic.

it's probably happened already, but it's too far away for it to be of concern.

OT: I HATE spiders, little ones are ok, but big ones freak me out. so i'd either be killed within the first week,m or i'd kill myself

Or I could get infected by a Genestealer and spread Genestealers.

Send in waves of Krogan?
This is the only suggestion so far that I feel has actually been proven to have worked before, so I'm going to agree with Souplex.

If it really did happen, I would drop a toaster in my tub. Insects are such amazing killing machines, if they were bigger than us there would be little we could do to stop them.

I mean, proportionally, their armour would be thicker and might even be bullet-proof. And, of course, our nuclear weapons couldn't kill cockroaches - so even if all else failed, we'd still fail.

Plus, I can't stand bees and wasps already. I think I'd have a full-on heart attack if I saw a giant one coming at me.
Krogans wouldn't work they've been DNA Fucked!
And Nuclear weapons WOULD kill the giant cockroaches....but the fallout would bee like putting the survivors on a cocktail of speed and steroids!

I'd like to point out an apocalypse of giant bugs is flat out impossible. Thanks to the limitations in their physiology a bug bigger than about four and a half feet long would suffocate because it couldn't get oxygen. So.. Giant bug apocalypse? Grab a 2 liter of soda and watch them all die slowly. :D
