Surely you don't mean that killing her just because she's a toddler forever would be merciful? Only kill someone if they're in constant agony, and you're certain they want it.NoMoreSanity said:That sounds horrible, if I were the parents I would have killed her a long time ago.
And in swoops the Vanguard.NoMoreSanity said:I geuss it's the Terri Schiavo argument in that we don't know if they truly want it or not. She won't grow up to live a fulfilling life, won't find love. But at the same time she could live a perfectly safe life.Snowalker said:Wow, Seriously? She is at the state of a toddler, sure she is stuck there, but its not like she knows she is stuck at being a toddler. Killing her would be basically murder, there is no sympathy or mercy involved, smypathy would be something along the lines of donating money, or something, killing her sounds down right evil. Your calling someone else out saying they have no sympathy when your the guy who jumps straight to murder. I argee the planet is over-populated, but if we kill off every single human with a disability, well, then we are no better than animals. That would make the world a much worse place. Population controlled should be done through the controlling of sex.. But I bet that bugs you more than genocide, doesn't it?NoMoreSanity said:I'm sorry but who made you the judge on what's right or wrong? She's not growing at all and is mentally retarded, I can only imagine the hell she must go through each day.findler said:Shut up, it's not like she's in continuous pain and suffering. There would be no mercy behind that. Stupid comment.NoMoreSanity said:That sounds horrible, if I were the parents I would have killed her a long time ago.
Also, I when I said that I had the upmost sympathy for her, but neither I nor you have actually seen her so we have no idea if she's in a good condition or not.
And I'm not saying to kill every person with a disability, I'm saying we might want to as there is next to no hope of her living a better life.
And when did this get to population control? I don't care for sex, and I don't believe in genocide.
Agreed, it's horrible.RedMenace said:Ok... so we have a mentally retarded 16 year old with a deformed body of a new born? How the fuck is that a miracle? Its horrible if you ask me.

She turned 16 in January.
"Why doesn't she age?" Howard Greenberg, 52, asked of his daughter. "Is she the fountain of youth?"
Such questions are why scientists are fascinated by Brooke. Among the many documented instances of children who fail to grow or develop in some way, Brooke's case may be unique, according to her doctor, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine pediatrician Lawrence Pakula, in Baltimore.
"Many of the best-known names in medicine, in their experience ... had not seen anyone who matched up to Brooke," Pakula said. "She is always a surprise."
Brooke hasn't aged in the conventional sense. Dr. Richard Walker of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, in Tampa, says Brooke's body is not developing as a coordinated unit, but as independent parts that are out of sync. She has never been diagnosed with any known genetic syndrome or chromosomal abnormality that would help explain why.
Healing Factor, anyone?
But 'Is she the fountain of youth'? Thre's no other explanation. He was shovelled.JC175 said:Keep in mind this is the father, he's had a long time to get over the grief and suffering that his daughter must have caused. It's hard to stay depressed after 16 years, its only natural that he'd try to find the positives.Lexodus said:Why are you so retarded? Were you smacked around with a shovel as an infant?Howard Greenberg said:"Why doesn't she age? Is she the fountain of youth?"
Aaawww, if only...Assassinator said:That's horrible. She and her parents can never live a normal life. Well, not aging sucks for humans, but just imaging having this little fellow forever:
