I've been really digging this lately. Lots of unusual scales being used as well as colourful instrumentation. The whole tone ascending vocal line at 2:18 is fantastic.

The soundtrack has this dark, mellow tone that mirrors Max's bleak (realist) outlook, and it fits the action wonderfully. The synth music that plays on the yacht is a good example.

I completely agree, it fits the tone of the game and it fits Max Payne's character.

The Gears of War series had some good OST as well, it's a shame current gen consoles doesn't have any new IP-triple-A-system-seller games, I can't think of any new IPs on the PS4/XB1 that had the same impact like GeOW/Uncharted had on the last gen.
