Name: Nicholas Kin ("Kin" for short)
Rank: Guardian of Light (See Back Story)
School of Magic: Imperiomancy
Weapons: He keeps it simple with the philosophy that it is the craftsman, not the tools that count. Towards that end, he uses simple long sword sheathed to his back and a dagger on a sheath on the front of his shoulder, handle pointing down. He loves that knife like a little brother. It is a hand made hunting knife, cheap looking and crudely forged of steel, but in his hands it gets the job done. He frequently sharpens it when he has nothing better to do. He may also keep a lever action rifle on him for good measure.

His main use of his powers are not in combat, but rather to investigate things that have happened. By way of Physical touch, he can find out much of what has gone on concerning a particular object or person. He can also look into memories people have, even going so far as to "invade" their minds to extract information.

Appearance: 5 foot 9 inches. short brown hair. He is well built, and wears clothes to blend in with crowds wherever he might be. For Combat he has white armor with gold and black designs that look like they might be latin writing. He keeps a metal mask on his face, it looks like it is solid gold, but it is actually painted. It is simply a sort of oval bowl shape over his face with no distinguishing features ((Halo fans think E.V.A. Armor helmet)) It has no eye holes but has a visible overlap near the mouth with a slot for air. He uses his imperiomancer skills to project his sight through the mask without exposing his face in a fight.

Back Story: His parents are American, but he spent most of his young life in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Egypt. He is fluent in Arabic and a small variety of dialects within the language. He also speaks with a clearly audible accent which relfects the culture he grew up in.

Kin is a member of another group similar in some ways to the guardians of light. The group is called the Rhyle and the two organizations have worked side by side in the past. The Rhyle have sent Kin to work with the guardians. His rank as a guardian is strictly honorary. That is to say, he hasnt done anything with the guardians to deserve it, but receives it due to his position within the Rhyle (Which is a rank similar to Guardian of Light). Sometimes lower ranking guardians treat him as a superior, and he isnt a big fan of this, feeling slightly awkward whenever somebody throws him a salute.

A hearty welcome to all players and I wish them to prepare, as the Grand Seal of the Guardians has changed to reflect its change in society. The Royal Coat of Arms of the Guardians of Light is now

I know, it sucks

also, the Grey/Gray family coat of arms (there is a real Gray family in Britain)

their motto is: Anchor fast anchor

Name:Dan Free man

Rank: Master. (QUESTION: Can we pick our rank, or do I need to start as an initiate, because I was not in the first arch?)

School of Magic: Auramancer

Signature weapon and/or spell: He boosts moral by changing personal auras.

Appearance: Tall, medium build. He has dark brown eyes and hair. His skin is very pale, and he has dark shadows under his eyes.

Back-Story: Dan grew up as an orphan under the wing of his master, who trained him in magic. He grew up, seriouse about his training and eventually, became very good at Auramancy. He joined a group of guardians, using his skills to boost morale, along with other things. He broke both of his legs once in a seriouse battle and retreated back to his master, a short while later. He finished his training and joined a different group of guardians.

He left the group after a couple of years and found an aprentice, wandering alone. He took him under his wing like his old master did and trained him. He left Dan and followed in his footsteps.

Name: Zideno Wiles

Rank: Student, 15 years old
Magic: Unmanifested (Will be developed throughout RP)
Weapon: Short sickle and hammer, silver plated. A weak weapon for a weak student.

His mother and father died fighting a radical werewolf cult. He is an orphan left to the care of the Guardians, who are becoming more and more displeased with his progress; many people are expecting him to become something great. He is adept at fighting with his hammer and sickle, but shows very little magical potential so far.

As a Perditiomancer you can, yes, turn ordinary things into monsters. You can also drive men and women mad. Its basically god mode, except your powers are unwieldy and self-destructive. When you cast, it floods out trying to corrupt and destroy everything near you. It takes mountains of concentration to cast one spell without dying or destroying a building.

The powers of Perdition are delicate and powerful, most immortals use this magic because they have more time to learn to control it utterly. Mortals are sloppy with it, and if you choose it play your character wisely.

tl;dr- That stuff is bad, be careful with it. It make you get dead or get everyone else dead.

Name: Nana BlueSky

Rank: Master

School of Magic: When pressed, Nana uses a devastating combination of Pyromany and Cryomancy, though she follows the maxim that the less magic is used, the more powerful it is when it is finally unleashed. Due to the sheer effect of her presence (enemies break down in fear, and allies fight harder merely knowing she is with them) it has been suggested that she is also an Imperiomancer, though she refuses to confirm this.

Signature weapon and/or spell:
"Shit, look at that guy. The hell'd they do to mess him up so bad?"
"One of Nana's, I'd say. You can tell; there isn't a mark on him"

Nana hardly fights; the few recorded fights have lasted almost no time at all, and have ended in savage fire/ice double assaults that rend people limb form limb. Nana's signature, however, is how most of confrontations go. Her foe begins confident, sure of defeating a little old woman, but over a short exchange of words, the confidence flees, the face pales and by the end the victim has surrendered in the hope of mercy.

Appearance:
"What's that you say? I'd keep that to yourself, boy. If Nana hears you think she looks like a witch, well... for a start, she'd be smug for God knows how long"
To her great annoyance, Nana BlueSky is rather tall, has all her teeth in perfect condition, and has only one wart, making her practically handsome. otherwise, she looks like a proper witch; heavily aged, dressed in black and wearing the obligatory pointy hat. Her face is strong, with an aquiline nose, surprisingly hard jaw and piercing blue eyes.
There is a theory that Nana tries to be ugly, and wants to be scary, as if looking as unsettling as possible is somehow part of her power.

Back-Story:
"They say that when she first turned up at Headquarters, the guards asked her name, and she just looked puzzled. The said that everyone has a name, so she looked around her for a time, then up into the summer sunshine, and told them [i/]'BlueSKy'"[/i]

It is widely believed that BlueSky is not her name, but no one has ever asked Nana what her real name is; and not a soul think she'd tell. She's been around for years, and while people estimate she must be at least a century old, she moves surprisingly energetically (for an old woman)

"Nana doesn't do magic? And that's meant to be a bad thing? Blood hell, boy, if she used half of what she knows we'd both be out of a job"

Nana is known for her almost complete abstinence from actual magic, and has only been known to cast seven spells in the last decade. Despite this, she consistently solves cases, seeming to draw most of her power from sheer reputation, extracting information and facing down foes with only harsh words and a megawatt stare. Rumours amongst the apprentices say she possesses so much magic that she approaches power from the other side

"Nana's being difficult? You may find, in time, that no one likes Nana. She doesn't allow it, you see"

With an ego to match her reputed powers, Nana is a hard person to get on with. Proud, haughty and critical, she is unfriendly at all times, and her approval comes so rarely that it is a badge of pride to receive a smile and word of praise. Some people get on with Nana, and they are rare enough, but most people only see what she wants them to.

Sorry if I'm not meant to be a master, but she doesn't feel right at any other rank

I now realize that this character will not work for many reasons, including the lack of master and a non-cannon backstory (it is quite awesome that this is long enough to have cannon). A new character shall be prepared!

Name: Habiev Versailles

Magic: Pyromancy

Weapon: Scimitar. Edged with silver and engraved with يغفر ، لا ننسى .

Backstory: The son of a middle-eastern trader living in France, culture clash has been quite typical throughout Habiev's life. His childhood in France was spent comfortably enough, living in a small townhouse with his mother and siblings while his father collected and sold goods in the city. He was completely oblivious to what his father did, but he knew he made good money doing it.

At age 13, his father began training him with weapons, teaching him the way of the sword and the ancient art of pyromancy. He worked as his father's assistant, and learned exactly why his father was able to make such great money. Habiev was the son of the largest black-market weapons trader in Versailles. At age 18 Habiev left his family, and went to make his mark on the world by joining the Guardians in London. Although he faced some adversity, he has climbed through the ranks to become a Guardian of Light.

name: deios

Race: Human, although he does have a small amount of vampiric blood in him

Age and Gender: male 45

Rank: master

School of magic: Deios uses a strange variation of pyromancy, his powers are very long ranged, yet not very intense, the only times he is ever able to use large amounts of magic is at very close range, usually with his fists.

Signature weapon and/or spell: His most powerful attacks involve engulfing his hands in flame and either striking his opponents or blasting them at close range. He carries with him a small runed steel rod which allows him to strike his enemies at long ranges, although this method of attack is far less powerful than his others.

Appearance: Average height with a rather stocky build, his chest is made from hard rock with firery cracks running through it after he fought a strong geomancer in his youth. He has a long black beard and similarly soot-black hair. He mostly wears a coal-black robe down to his ankles with a crimson breastplate underneath with a hole in the middle to allow air to reach his chest. His face is is strongly angled with wise yet stern eyes, his beard does not obscure his lip, but starts at his chin and runs down his neck, his eyes are bright red.

Bio: Deios was one of the first to join after the high masters, but was forgotten about for a long time due to his inactivity, only in recent times has he come to light and started to take action. He shows little happiness, he has a mostly angry persona yet he is respectful of his companions. He joined after an evil magician killed his family as a child, later on he avenged his family; taking the rod as a souvenir of his troubles.
