Deios sat up from the bench he had been dwelling on and walked over to the new recruit "Greetings, i am Deios, your name is Maeve isn't it?" he said in an abnormally polite tone.

Silas rolled his eyes and said "Mother get to the point..."

Sabrina bit her lip and said "The Crellyx Key is missing.....thats all they said.....and if they go looking for it they'll be giving up their anonymity. Anyone who wants one of the Keys of Vampyrekind that badly must be a vampire...they'll get hunted down and we can't possibly stop that. They want a team of skilled Guardians to go after it, the House Leaders are trying to keep Crellyx out of the spotlight in Scotland since their problem with.....overeaters."

Silas was dumbfounded. The Key of Crellyx, something thats supposed to lock away the other vampire houses is missing. And if the Crellyx go after it, they reveal themselves and get genocided out of existence by the terminally narrow-minded. "Sounds like a fun mission" said Silas.

Silas also noticed a twitch of irritation in his mother's face, the attention Maeve was getting was bothering her.

Silas tapped his communicator twice to signal his team "Everyone to the Master's Lounge for a briefing."

Ivan didn't bother with an introduction, if his identity was important he'd be asked for it, until then he wondered if she'd be suspicious of him, it was a weakness to trust people blindly so he'd have to see if she knew this, if not then she'd probably be better off alone on a mission, or at least with someone she could definitly trust.

Ivan heard Silas' order and started heading toward the Master's lounge, he didn't quite approve of lower and higher ranks being split up but this was how it was, while he walked he seemed to become distant, something was on his mind.

Deios pressed his communicator to his ear as silas began to speak, then immediately started walking towards the master's lounge, his cloak fluttering behind him.

When he arrived he remained standing and turned to silas and said in a worried tone "what is the purpose of this meeting silas?"

"The Crellyx desire us to go fourth and aid them. We will be leaving as soon as the team has heard from Sabrina of what we are to be facing..." said Silas looking at his mother.

Sabrina told them of what the Crellyx had told her...that their key was missing and that it must be returned. "The only place one would go is to the Tomb, in Romania. Where vampirism started many years ago. It is our duty to respect our allies and aid them."

A motorcade brought the Guardians to the ancient and gothic castle of the Crellyx. Damien, sold on the idea of being part of another epic quest or so Silas imagined since he was still with them, was sitting next to him in the car. Attempting to make conversation he asked "What were the Crellyx like back when?"

As the first car pulled around to the front of the castle and stopped, Kin stepped out and looked around. "Well this is... nice..." he said watching his breath steamed up the chilly night air.
"Charming decor." He commented on the castle itself.
Kin had an unnerving sense around vampires. Not because of the blood sucking, but mainly because of the whole mind reading thing. He didnt like the idea of not being the only guy in the room who could mentally penetrate a skull. This made him somewhat introverted around other imperiomancers. Perhaps, he reckoned, his subconsciousness was actually trying to protect itself from invasion.

The Crellyx were outside waiting for them, standing and waiting for them. In the middle of them all was their leader. Lady Lilith du'Arras was not hiding her form, she was seven feet tall with whitish-blue skin which seemed to be stretched thin over her skin. She was androgynous, large point ears sticking up from her thin-lipped face. Sharp teeth showed as she smiled, stretching her wing membrane-less vestigial wings extended.

The creature stepped forward and spoke to Silas in a flickering, ethereal voice. "We the Crellyx welcome your aid and are here to greet the heroes so selflessly aiding us."

Damien leaned forward in the seat. "The Crellyx... are not to be trifled with. When they cast their magic, they appear almost as beautiful as the Fae. However, they are not afraid to use their beauty to get what they want. For the most part though, they are honorable, and should not be hunted down as they are. Humans are just too narrow-minded to care, only thinking of Dracula stories when they think vampire." Damien sighed and slid back as Crellyx Castle appeared in view. "Just remember, do not fool around. The Crellyx might not have the same sense of humor that you do- nor do they have the same inhibitions." The car slowed down as Damien exited the vehicle with the rest of the Guardians.

Damien walked forward, smiling. "Good to see you, Lady Lilith. Don't concern yourselves with such trivial matters. Allies always help each other. 50 years ago, your kind gave me and the Guardians shelter when we needed it. The least I could do would be to pay back the favor."

The other thing Kin didnt like about working around vampires: their emotions worked differently, much differently. This made working his way through a room using imperiomancy more difficult. A situation which would leave the average person at wits end might hardly phase one of their kind.

Kin had tried it before, but the situation played out much differently than he had expected. Missing one or two details and ignored some others which he believed to be irrelevant at the time. They turned out to reveal everything later on. Fortunately he was quick to learn from mistakes...

The House Leader bowed her head and said "I must brief thee on what awaits....and where you must go."

Silas was unnerved, he had been around one or two Crellyx vampires before but he didn't like being around so many. It was unnerving, and experience he had not come across in his travels. The Crellyx were nice, of that there was no doubt, but they still gave off an aura of unease.

They were led into a private study where the House Leader, upon going inside and the doors being closed by two smartly dressed guards, was covered in an oily reddish glop as her flesh illusion reformed and she looked normal. "Normal" for a vampire that is, being ephemerally beautiful yet creepy with the colorless irises and pale skin.

"I would, at some point like to see where the Key was held before it was taken. If that's possible of course." Kin said as he walked into the private study room, his helmet under his shoulder. He looked around, absorbing all the information he could with just his eyes. Books and paintings and documents. A magnificent globe sat next to the table. Kin crouched to admired the cartographers work. He could tell it was hand made without even touching it.

The House Leader looked out the window and said to Kin's remark. "The Key was kept within a glass enclosure in the depths of this very castle, runed with such symbols as to paralyze anything that would lift it without disarming the runes. I believe whomever or whatever took the Key knew the words of disarming, which only few within my ranks might know without the use or torture or alcohol." she turned to face the group and said "I am trapped, and we have already lost much time. Five days have passed since the key was stolen."

Silas' eyes bulged at this. "You did tell us they had a head start? How will we catch them??"
"Because you know where you are going, the quickest way to get there, and all of the secret entrances. The Castle Dracula was built with many secret escape routes, and the Tomb of the Ancient Vampire is still entrapped with many cunning devises. You are also not vampires, who must travel incognito and therefore must go slower. The Key will melt in the hands of a regular mortal and resolve itself back in the place it belongs, in that glass cylinder."

Silas mulled this over and said "I understand."

"So we just have to get our hands the thing, literally, and we win? Wow. That's not a bad insurance policy." Kin huffed, spinning the globe around and looking at all the old cites. He was somewhat impressed. The globe was so old, some of the cities on it no longer existed.
"So touching anything in the containment room is out unless I wanna go home in a cigar box, huh?...."

"That is our vault, our moneys and valuables from millenia of storage are there. I would prefer it if things were not stolen." said the House Leader who then eyed Ivan "You carry an aura of darkness young master. I have had the occasion to meet such as thee, they were mad warlocks that attempted to master the whole of the British isles before being bombed to dirt...you'd do well to control thy urgings."

Silas was picking his fingernails and said "When do you want us to leave?"
"As presently as you can muster"
"Give is 24 hours to arm up, we'll head out at dawn tomorrow."
"You must go to Romania, into the mountains. The Castle is hard to miss..."

Ivan Raised an eyebrow to the house leaders comment, "oh really? well you would do well to control your tongue, your insults don't do you any favors when enforcing such a warning, as a leader i'd expect you to know such an obvious thing." he turned away and walked toward the exit, "young master? HA! i've seen more than most of the people of my position... and what did i get for it? bugger all, they still look down on me despite my service..." his voice died away as he dissappeared down the corridor.

He made his way outside, stopping next to the road, there were some things he could not stand, one of which was being told outright that he might be a traitor, he breathed deeply to calm himself, after which he simply stood by, staring into the distance.

Silas waited as Ivan stormed out, twiddling his thumbs. "When do you want to teleport him back?"
he asked to Damien. "Give him ten minutes or twenty?"

Deios, who was sitting lazily on a chair next to Silas, turned his head and said "What perils can we be expecting on this mission? asides from the vampires,"

Deios then stood, took of his breastplate, laid it down on the floor and began to examine it, there were several dents and scratches in it, he began to strike it with a fiery hand, slowly repairing it.

The House Leader frowned "More than Vampires, yes. Ghouls and Wights that inhabit the castle, werelights and lycanthropes prowl th slopes of the mountain and I wouldn't put it past a warlock or two to have taken residence in the mountains. Keep yourself well guarded against the elements and the wolves there. You should be alright." she seemed to be holding something back, twiddling her fingers absently.

Kin spun the globe and pressed his finger down on it to stop it, his finger landing on Romania...

"Think I could us a vacation in the Alps..." His face had a wide grin on it. He looked at the vampires "Tell me, you wouldnt, against all astronomical chances and good sense, happen to have some silver bullets lying around would you? I know its far fetched to ask...."

"We have no need of bullets here, they are impersonal and steal the pleasure of the kill. But I suggest your weapons become silvered...the lycanthropes there are....a different breed."
said the House Leader. Silas looked at her square "How different?"
"They are not mixes of human and wolf, they are great canine beasts....with black fur and cold black eyes. They have no soul."

"I think those aren't Lycans......those are Grims.....why would Arcanian Grims be here? On Earth?" said Silas, pondering.
