what is the hardest game you ever beaten beat?
personaly i don't play many hard game just because i lack pacience. but i beat VVVVVV this weekend so i am happy i got 1986 deaths and i still need to find 6 more trinkets i know one area Veni Vidi Vici is the hardest to get so i will attempt to get it last.

what i learned was just take on any challenge with a smile and don't be afraid to say a few curse words when need.

Probably Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on a solo Hard run as Shanoa.

All time? I guess SaGa Frontier. It's a rather brutal PS1 RPG.

Probably Super Meat Boy although I haven't 100% completed it. There is a certain bandage that was absolutely torturing me.

Recently though, Might & Magic: Clash of Heros has a really bad difficulty curve heh.

Nah, in all seriousness I don't play that many "hard" games either. I seem to remember beating Drakengard 2 on the PS2 and being incredibly pleased with myself. But I was much younger then, and just getting into gaming, so that probably doesn't count.

Overall? Its hard to say. Bayou billy, the original TMNT, and Battletoads come to mind. Im sure there are others, but drawing a blank atm.

And I am prepping to do an "Insanity" run in Witcher 2 once I get it. Looking forward to it

Devil May Cry 3 on Dante Must Die mode was probably the hardest for me.

The original DMC3, not that watered down easy re-release that came after it.

Okay, so I really wanted to post on this because it sounded like a cool thread. SO I first thought, how do you answer this? Well which games felt most fulfilling when I beat them? But then I realized, I never really felt that it was very hard but I couldn't htink of something that truly did so here's the games I felt most fulfilled when I beat them, liek I put in a great deal of effort and was truly rewarded to beat.

These would be the Mass Effect's and KOTOR 2 as well as Oblivion. But these aren't really difficult which is my conundrum. Halo was pretty hard on legendary but I'm not sure. Maybe I should try a Ninja Gaiden?

I don't really go out of my way to play hard games, but I beat God of War 100 % my first time on hard, that wasn't really hard, but it was certainly a challenge.

Trauma Center: Under the Knife

What makes it so hard to play is you're using the DS and if you're heading toward the end of some of the ridiculous surgeries, your own adrenaline will be your undoing. I could only play this game in half hour increments or so because I'd be shaking too hard trying to do everything fast enough.

Far Cry. On the hardest difficulty.

My triumphs of the Gears, Halos, cods, GoWs etc. on the hardest difficulty over the years pale in comparison to the first Far Cry. Health bar, fucking smart AI, unnervingly rare checkpoints.

I might crack out Oblivion, turn the slider all the way to the end and have a stab at that one day.

I beat Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels without using any warp zones, I also beat the second quest without warp zones. I spent my college days well...

F-Zero Gx, all cups on Master, all Story mode missions on the Hardest difficulty. I can still finish all but the diamond cup without any continues too. I play so aggressively I always have plenty of lives mind, so I never get a game over at any rate.
