While I appreciate that people want the shiny effects and animations, I think it would be really cool if more people made their own avatars for Halloween. Getting other people to do it is a bit like buying an outfit, it's all well and good, but where's the fun in it?

well, i have been attempting to do that. but the odd thing is that when i tried to upload my avatar, it didn't animate, and was stuck as a black box with the words the kitty reaper approaches on it.galletea said:

I don't think it makes a difference. I haven't gotten to grips with the whole animating lark yet anyway. I do know however, that if you try to upload an animation that is bigger than the 75x75 that the forum uses, the animation won't work, so it might be that.Azraellod said:
As for people not being very good at it, well, practise and give it a go, it's just more fun with people's own ideas, rather than the few council members who can do it giving out avatars. I'm not very good at it at all really, I just draw my own and don't bother with the shiny bits, and when this started, it was just a bit of holly drawn in paint, and Xitel's was just taken from google and slapped on, it doesn't need to be fancy, it's just a bit of fun. so show me what you can come up with.
