Looks like you may have set the amount of colours too low, maybe 128. Check to make sure the amount is set to 256.

Edit: It also could be you're using the wrong colour reduction algorithm. Make sure it's not set to one of the bad ones like "Restrictive (Web)."

This might not make sense to you, so feel free to ignore it. I'm not sure what options your image editing software gives you for .gifs.
