If you're too eager to wait you can always try decorating your avatar on your own. There's plenty of free image editing software out there, even for making animated gifs. It's not difficult to do, and you won't know what you're capable of til you give it an honest try; You might just surprise yourself. Even if you can't make something incredible, at least you've put in some effort. Also you'll be able to use whatever you made until somebody here feels like making your avatar for you.
But if you're not willing to work, you'll just have to be patient I guess. There's still a month til Xmas day; That's plenty time for somebody to get your request done.
