Well it isn't really a holiday, but I think that 'International Talk Like A Pirate Day' should at least have parrots, eye-patches, wooden legs and hooks involved.

The relative time between them is the same (1:27 hours to the first, and 1:42 hours to the second). Also, he's in the UK, which means he has the same timezone I do. GMT.

Either ways, timezones don't magically turn 1 and a half hours into 5 minutes...

Hmm, well we best get to planning a build up then methinks! Getting up a thread like this one a few weeks beforehand could possibly work, if the topic is interesting enough for all the forum-wanderers here.

Valentines day is a good one too, allows people to put some sweeet lurve into the forum (Ok I have no idea why I said that.)

Possibly Easter and covering avatars with ridiculously coloured bunnies + eggs could be an option?

Indeed, and half-priced chocolate is never bad. Ever. Sure they'll be shaped as hearts and in fluffy red boxes, but come on...Chocolate. Cheap. Win.

I was staying away from Easter because that is an undeniably Christian holiday. With the Holly, we can say that it is for the winter holidays in general, but Easter is Christian only.

Yeah, even most of the people who work at the escapist are getting into the spirit. Even the logo is holly-fied!

I know... I saw that and couldn't help but pump my fist in the air.

I want photoshop...oh well maybe when I'm richer.

And I don't think we can do easter, it's too intrinsic to christianity. I avoided santa hats and the like for the same reason. Holly just brightens up winter holidays. It's as festive as you want it to be.

And the logo has truly made my week.
