Clarinet for one year, then I was placed on the Bass Clarinet.

Then when we got to marching season, I switched to the Marimba (<a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marimba>for the people who don't know what it is). I apparently caught on extremely quickly, or so the percussion director told me. But, of course, it was like everything else. I caught on very quickly and advance almost immediately up to an average level, but wasn't able to improve much. I wasn't able to handle the fucking 32nd note runs, so I switched to auxiliary percussion for the remainder of marching season. It was really cool. I had a hi-hat, a splash symbol, a gong, a piece of a car (something to do with brakes), a suspended symbol, and wind chimes. And they were all mine. I felt so cool.

But then I revolted against the administrative band director, for being a dictatorial asshole, and was barred from touching any of his instruments ever again. (I never destroyed anything, just so you know.) He was taking us out of normal classes regularly so we could rehearse more, having us stay at school 'till ten o' clock at night regularly to rehearse, making us come to school two hours early to rehearse, making us rehearse at 20 degrees Fahrenheit, not giving anyone enough time to change clothes for the rest of the day (so band members had to go through the schoolday smelling like a sack of sweat), and making people who came in late run a lap for each minute, and making people who missed steps or notes run laps, or making people who claimed to disagree with his jackassery run laps. His solution to "my keys are frozen in place" was "if you keep playing, they won't freeze, now run two laps and get back into the block."

I hated him, and now he hates me. A lot. On both sides.

Trombone for 8. Jazz and ska bands ftw!
Does "ftw" mean "for the whores"?
Because if so: get on the drums, that's where the sex machines are at (i.e. Tommy Lee, Bonham, Dave McLane) - I personally don't represent that side of the drumming world but .. meh lol
Was that sarcasm, or have you never been on the internet before?
I don't know what ftw means but i'm sure it doesn't mean "for the whores" lol

Well... Guitar Hero since 2006.

I tried to learn how to play the guitar once, but I didn't succeed. Guitar Hero's more fun.. It gives you points :D

No doubt about that, still some of the girls I know are easily impressed when I play Guitar Hero :)

But yeah, I should learn an instrument...

Bass guitar and singing are my main instruments.

I also mess around on drums, and I'm ok at that. and I do some _very_ basic guitar.

Wow...sorry about sounding like an ass, reading that again I sound like a complete asshole. When I was writing that it sounded a lot more like a joke in my head.

I know this is a weird one but electric violin.
My school got mad at me for painting their classical one lime green, to make it more exciting.

I've been playing guitar for approximately Two years. playing classical for the whole time and only starting(really starting) rock.
I take lessons in classical and I'm about third grade in classical, whatever that means. I am considered pretty talented for only been playing for two years.I own a TGM imitation of a fender stratocaster(at least, I think thats what it is) with 4 pickups, two tone selectors and a volume knob, a electric acoustic hollow body and use a zoom G1X effects pedal.

I play covers of rage against the machine, joe satriani, buckethead, ozzy osbourne, black sabbath, Iron maiden, dire straits, AC/DC, santana, dream theatre, van halen, rush and system of a down but sometimes I just jam to instrumentals,I compose myself(most of which sound like bucketheads electric tears album). What I consider as my best covers are the randy rhoad epic, Crazy train(pulling off the solo, nothing can compare...except for 50 orgasms) and the Satch masterpiece, always with me always with you(tacky, yes. but still beautiful song)

There was a wall of text that was going to be here but seeing as I love you guys, I'm not going to put it in here.I hope you enjoyed wasting you're time reading the drivel of a narcisistic guitar player as much as I did wasting my time typing it down for random strangers I do not know. ;p

I've been playing the guitar for probably 4 years, and I still kinda suck, I've been trying to practice more though so hopefully I'll get better. I also want to learn the piano.

I also play guitar, though thanks to my freaking college classes I havent had time to practice. I play accoustic guitar, with a Washburn my Dad bought me. I'm not very good, but I am going to work on it until I can play something competently. Also, I hate tabs. I think its mostly because I learned to read music a long time ago, so its easier for me to read the music.
