I assume this offer also comes with a means to access said vehicle? Having the keys to something currently located in another galaxy (or another reality as the case may be) doesn't do one much good.

Personally, I'll take a Voidhawk from the the night's Dawn Trilogy. It is a sentient mostly biological spacecraft capable of manipulating the fabric of the universe around it in order to travel across incredible distances in a brief span of time, even by the normal standards of scifi.

As a bonus, the "keys" to such a craft include a series of genetic modifications that allow for mental rapport with others, and a means to live on as part of the ship when one's body fails.

If it has to be a vehicle that one person can operate alone then probably an X-Wing. Although if I got a crew I would love a Super Star Destroyer.

Edit: A Defiant or Sovereign class starship would be awesome too.

I'd definitely take The TARDIS.

If it has to be a ground vehicle, the Batmobile. I think I still like the Adam West TV version, as it's just too cool.

Either MEGAS, the Delorean, or the General Lee. I'd pick the Tardis, but I don't know how to drive it...

I 'unno, the S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier? So long as having the keys to it included it coming ready-made with a team of Avengers on board.

Maybe the Normandy. As long as the keys to it also included Mass Effect relays popping into existence spontaneously whenever I needed them, and I could have my pick of the crew from the series.

Perhaps the DeLorean, so long as I could somehow craft a paradox detector, so I could avoid screwing with everything (unless I inadvertently made things better for myself).

Can I just say a Master Key? I want EVERYTHING!

Also, I don't want to have to pass tests for any special driver's licenses. That better come along with the keys.

Can Iron Man's suit count as a vehicle? Pretty please?

The Normandy would have been my second choice, but it's a hell of a lot of maintenance.

I think I'd go with The Ebon Hawk.

The Falcon has about 4,000 years of tech advances on The Hawk presumably but it seemed like there was always something wrong with Han's ship. The Ebon Hawk on the other hand was always reliable and it seemed easy enough to fly if you were one of those lonely space-faring kinds of people...Anyway I mainly wanted a ship large enough for me to live on and The Hawk seems perfectly suitable for me to move into. All I would have to worry about is restocking the feeding tubes from time to time.

What?! Eighteen replies in and no-one's said Normandy?! A tad surprised, but never mind.

OT:

'Cos y'know it's better than anything that ever existed... ¬_¬
I'll take that one too, but only if it's shaped like a runner's shoe.

I would have to say the Heart of Gold from the Hitchhiker's Guide, but I always imagined it looked more like this:

Second choice would be a Tachikoma...for the lulz.

Give me an Imperial Battle Cruiser and were square...and of course a crew to go with it. Bombard planetary populations just for fun. Oh don't look at me like that, it's a fictional situation.

My old-time favourite, the puddlejumper. With the hyperdrive, time machine, and forcefield upgrades on top of its original cloaking device.

This little beauty is a go-anywhere vehicle. Spaceship, submarine, VTOL aircraft, all in one. Though I'd add some basic facilities for longer adventures. Bathroom, galley, and bunk, in place of the passenger compartment.

I kind of suprise no one had said the Batmobile yet, either the Nolan movies or the animated series.
How did it take 17 replies for that to be brought up...

What are all of you going to do in your spaceships? You've got no reliable source of replenishable fuel, and on the off-chance you discover a space-faring alien species, what are you going to do? You can't say you're the harbinger of your species, we probably won't even know how to find you and I doubt we'll have the same kind of space-flight technology. Imagine finding the Klingons or Borg, or Daleks, or Reapers or Geth, or Goa'uld, etc. etc.

Feh, is all I have to say.

Give me the Batmobile any day of the week. After all, I was turned into Batman and then a literal god a few days ago, I need the Batmobile to go along with it.

The plane from Diddy Kong Racing. Shoots missiles, is completely indestructible, takes off in something like 5 meters and you can leave the engine running forever and it won't run out of fuel.

The fuel thing especially makes it a tough choice to beat.

I'll take Dead Boy's car, from "The Nightside" book series. It's even more badass than the Bat-mobile, if you can believe it.

I also wouldn't turn down the keys to a Metal Gear. Rex or Ray will do, either one.
