Stephenie Meyer - New Moon...currently ploughing my way through Eclipse. It'll be over soon. /sigh
The sigh, is it because you cannot wait for it to be over, or that you do not want it to be over?
Haha my last post was a bit ambiguous now I read it back.

I kinda can't wait to get them finished. All my female friends are raving about how awesome they are, as is the rest of the world. And as I read alot of fantasy and wanted to try see what the hype was about I picked the series up. Personally I'm not enjoying them, I find the story a bit lackluster and I don't really feel an attatchment to the characters. I'm also not really into Meyer's writing style.

It was either Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or Brisingr... I can't remember since I read them back to back in about two days. Either way I loved both. :D

Well, I found the books to not be nearly as bad as most on the Escapist make them out to be. I wasn't a huge fan of her writing style myself, but it was certainly not the worst I have read either.

Her books are pretty much guilty pleasures. Nothing really bad ever happens to the main characters, and everything that they want, they get in the end. Just one big happy ending with no consequences whatsoever.

I just finished the Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy. A pretty good book about a war between China and Russia. Now I have to read the previous books in the Jack Ryan series.
