Warlords Battlecry 3

My favourite ever RTS campaign, with brilliant RPG elements.
SO MANY classes, races, items and units!
I suck at it really badly.

Warhammer 40k Spacemarine:

Glorious glorious violence, guns with impact and a robust melee system
Raging at assault marines in multiplayer, that or being lascannoned from half a map away
Exterminatus mode for a quick game of mow down all the orcs, scales nicely per wave

Max Payne 3

Best shooting and difficulty in a shooter this year
No loading times when you die=awesome
Story is actually quite good, but a bit too serious

I'm sorry, but wut. I think I just lost a few brain cells reading that. Yeah, I am "gonna hate". Name one thing... you know what, nevermind, just couldn't let that go but I guess I don't want to start an argument either.

Anyway, last game I played was Killing Floor.

Maybe not too well known, has a 70 something on Metacritic because "der bad grafix", but it is definitely a hidden little gem. At first it seems like a L4D copy, but it's really not, quite a different dynamic, and our friend leveling up makes an appearance to keep it interesting. Plus hilarious VO from what I suspect were not professional actors but likely the makers themselves. Guys, they're fucking British.

Heroes Of Might and Magic 3 Complete

Brilliant idea with an even better execution. The spells are balanced and the combat is satisfying. The only problem is that it's very easy to underestimate big groups of warriors.

An intense action game that's unfortunately marred by a ludicrous story and somewhat repetitive gameplay. Decent multiplayer, but it needs patching due to connection/match-making issues.

Absolutely underwhelming, akin to "Chinese Democracy" and Axl Rose, except Axl has more talent.
Terrible departure from the rest of the series, a horrible sequel
Nothing redeeming in the game. Waste of money.

Repetetive dungeon crawler with confusing maps and wierd art style and character design.
The male demonhunter for instance looks like a cross between Ezio from assassins creed, a wannabe gangsta and Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Also levling feels unsatisfying.

That's an interesting description Ezio Wangster Shaggy mix. I don't know why I needed to comment on this I just felt I needed to.

Lets see the last game I played was Resistance: Fall of Man. The best launch game for the ps3. Fun weaponry to play with. It also had a good setting that had some mystery to it.

Game of Thrones.

Pleasantly superised. Game has a budget of about 10p, but the story and writing is generally solid (not without its hiccups though), and fun combat that reminds me of DA:O. Well worth it.

Sound issue with X-Fi series soundcard/onboard chips are causing me headaches (hence why i've only played an hour)

Enjoyable combat, my only problem with fighting is trying to move away from a fight if you're getting beaten to a pulp. You have to move your mouse to the very side of the screen, otherwise it presumes you want to hit an enemy.
Story is... meh.
Probably wont last me very long, I don't feel like replaying it too many times.

The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind

An older game, but it combines complete freedom with classic rpg elements that have all but disapeared in modern games, and boasts a main story that will keep you busy for DAYS not including the numerous side quests/ faction quests. With high quality mods, expect updated visuals, and nearly double the play area and expanding (ie. Morrowind Overhaul and Tamriel Rebuilt).

Pretty sweet graphics alied to an awesome sense of aesthetics and attention for environment detail.
Awesome setting and a great touch on atmosphere tension (plays very well with situations of death and lack of hope).
Kind of an underwhelming main plot, though I think the intention here is to show "the big picture" rather than a single story.

Minecraft (PC)

A game of unlimited potential and amazing replay value! Just last night a friend and I stayed up till four creating a huge, multilevel dungeon, complete with monsters, traps, and cramped, dimly lit cells. Create what your heart desires, then create some more!

Super bros.- Sword and Sworcery

A retro art style that works well for the backgrounds but makes the characters look like nothing more then a jumbled mess.I haven't had a lot of playtime on it but so far the game play has yet to go beyond click good job. The game has a good sense of humor, it comes off as not only a parody of generic fantasy but a parody of art concepts in games, though that could come from my own impressions of some of the retro is artsy silliness in gaming right now, I'd have a more diffident opinion with more play time but the simple game play has yet to draw me in.

Just Cause 2

Just Cause 2 is the game i go to when other games have become boring. I can usually rely on it for some dumb, instant-gratification fun.
This is not a story game, there are seven main missions padded out with other activities almost always involving blowing shit up.
I also like all the easter-eggs in the game (bubble-gun, hot air balloon, 1337 chips) but i really wish this game had cheats, that would just complete it.
